Look at the action in real time, you'll see that the "delay" was kind of short. Slo-mo ... slows the action.
you're having a little difficulty with the concept of a concussion. I've provided you with a link so that you can read about it and yet you persist. You're tiring me out.
I never said he was not out or anything similar. I just said that it doesn't take seconds... you are out, you can continue started motion or even standing, but you are out. It's not a matter of second, it just seems like that.
Ok, i won't bother. Just one question. Can you accept, however remote, the possibility that Dirrell exaggerated to ensure the DQ?
You seem to be saying this and yet you do so without any authority whatsoever. Moreover, people have brought up numerous counter-examples involving delayed reactions to punches. It happens ALL the time. You're just flatly wrong and yet you insist on something that has over and over again shown to be false.
ok I freely admit I don't know anything about concussions or how they work. My question is, how common is it for a guy to get hit by a shot that would make him have a delayed reaction and then go unconscious and go into convulsions and mess with his memory and to not show any evidence whatsoever of a concussion. Impossible, just barely in the realm of possibility, or it happens all the time. I mean, would it be fair to say that 99 times out of 100 a guy who just went through what Dirrell did, assuming he wasn't overselling Abe's shot, would have a serious concussion, and by that I mean, one that the doctors would be able to identify as such. I am not interested in wordplay about what a concussion is, which only dilutes the real issue, which is why would a guy get nailed like that and have no signs of a concussion outside of his own actions. No physical signs the doctor's can point to. I am just trying to understand, although I am suspicious I haven't made up my mind one way or the other. It seems a helluva thing to act out.
What authority do you want? My PhD in Neuroscience?! That's irrelevant, check it up yourself, you may learn something.
Of course it's conceivable. But there is no evidence to support it. Moreover, if true it would be bizarre and unprecedented. Let me try something else. Would you do it? Would you fake being knocked out to get a DQ? I'm going to assume the answer to that is "no". Why do you believe Dirrell, someone with over 200 amateur fights and no remarkable stories, no history of odd behavior, would try such a stunt? Ponder that.
guys, ad has a reputation of being a scared fighter, afraid to commit to his punches and afraid to stand in front of a puncher. . . he commits to stand in there and throw and was making the best performance of his young career and in the most important fight of his career. . . i dont think he will do a stunt like that to overshadow his brilliant performance and waste the chance to earn respect by beating the tourney favorite he easily could've manneged to survive round and a half to win a BIG ud victory. if u want to earn respect, u dont fake a ko like that. he knows it and thats why he was crying angry , because that illegal blow ruined the way he wanted to end the fight, on his feet, celebrating a big victory
