    Hatton likes to portray himself as a man of the people and a nice guy,maybe he is,but i seen him one night in a pub in dublin,i was in there with my girlfriend,it was the night he was over for the evening with ricky hatton and frank bruno show,he was standing at the end of the bar,nobody was going up to him,it was kind of a posh student bar so i dont think anyone recognised him,i went over with my girlfriend and politely asked him could i get a photo with him,his minder/body guard was standing with him,his bodguard made a remark something along the lines of 'you can get a photo if i get a shot of your girlfriend'..,the two of them burst into a fit of laughing as i stood there looking like a fool,then Ricky just turned his back and ignored me..
    So there's your man of the people for you folks..
    I was a big Ricky Hatton fan,was at the show,have watched all his fights since the Thaxton fight,not anymore..

    most of your "men in the street" have a bit of banter. accept it for what it sounds like it was, banter. Nearly over the line, but not quite.

    let it go

    It wasnt so much the comment it was the fact he then turned away and ignored me,it wasn't like there was loads of people bothering him,I was probably the first person to go over to him..

    I once asked Ricky for an autograph and he stabbed me through the eyeball with an aids infected syringe..............then him and his bodyguard laughed at me..........then they turned around and ignored me.........then I cried.

    But I got over it eventually.

    hahaha alright, maybe slightly harsh then

    ricky probably didnt understand you if you were polite.

    "eer wicky, gees a fookin pic ya daft ******* eh, where ur foockin burd eh? fookin in the kitchen eh, makin an lickle fookin sandwich" - that'll probably work better next time
