:yep Going to be a war...I'm kinda pumped for this fight but I think AA will be able to get to him unlike Dirrell because as you stated, he's there to be hit!:good

Unless froch comes back better(as Dirrell did) it might be a power punch exhibition.

Barely, I was disgusted watching it as to me it was evident that the weight had a big factor in Guz's ability to take a punch.

Oh man, Like when Fernando vargas was trying to use the shoulder roll.

I hope he is forced to fight at welter since he couldn't even drain to 140. Then I hop he fights Cintron and gets brutally knocked out. 9 pounds, c'mon man. Someone should have called the other camp and let them know he wasnt making weight last week.

:thumbsup Outstanding post! I was really getting tired of all the AD bashing / speculation etc... Although I understand those clammering for a rematch, I feel that is disrespectful towards Dirrell. He fought masterfully, and despite opinions to the contrary, I doubt anything but a UD for AD would've been the final result anyway. Every fight AA is involved in, could result in an AA KO due to his heavy hands. However, in my humble opinion, he shouldn't be allowed to continue in this tourney. Heavy consideration should be given for a SUSPENSION. His actions not only placed a fellow competitor's CAREER in jeopardy, but his LIFE as well. His post fight responses were childish, unprofessional, and extremely unsportsmanlike. I'd petition the courts to get out of my promotional contract with Sauerland. He should've been in full damage control for AA. Forget the BS, and simply apologize. Perhaps that would garner him a future rematch. As it is now, there's now way in hell that happens. Team AA / Sauerland has cost themselves millions in the American market with a few sentences of broken english. On Saturday night, Arthur Abraham asked the American public the infamous question " Who are you going to believe, ME or your LYING eyes"? Get well quick AD!!!:bbb

AA is a true bomber and also a true warrior( fights through a broken jaw) That is why what Dirrell was able to do for 11 1/2 rds was amazing! He was very focused, great lateral movement and good use of speed timing and reach. AA is the real deal, and going in I figured he was the man to beat. Great job by Dirrell, to bad to see it end that way. The fight was exciting for two reasons, 1, awesome boxing clinic by Dirrell. 2, there was that tension and excitement in the knowledge that AA could at any point, end it with one punch... Rematch anyone???

I don't think AA wants a rematch. He's gonna have a hard enough time from here on out. He won't have that confidence he once had either. I think froch's stanima, reach and jab are gonna give him some serious problems much less the looping shot he will throw around AA's guard. He's gonna have a problem with reach and stanima from here on out. After froch get's knocked out by kessler, I got him knocking abraham out.

i was wrong, i thought abraham would dominate him and knock him out. but at the end abraham was getting him, anyway great win for dirrell, he boxed great, it was a pleasure to see this guy fight. the super six is great, plain and simple, you have 5 great boxers, and different styles, so it's very possible that everyone in this tournament will get a loss.
kessler will beat froch by close ud, ward will beat green by wide ud, abraham will knock out froch, dirrell will beat ward by sd, and kessler will knock out green. it will be great, I'm looking forward for every fight, and some of you have to stop hating, we see great boxers fighting each other, we should be happy about that, and don't diss them when they lose!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about over rated but I think he wasn't loading up on most of his shots because dirrell was hitting him while he was swing (beating him to the punch). He had abrahams respect from the first round. Abraham felt dirrell and knew he had some pop when dirrell was knocking him around when the punch was blocked during the first round. Dirrell was making AA pay for swinging. Even in the exchanges dirrell would land a shot that stopped AA in his tracks.

I can't say I'm surprised because I expected dirrell to be better. Him and shaw's post froch fight interviews showed they knew what they had done wrong. They knew that you got to discourage people from loading up by being more aggressive when you have a big speed advantage. That takes away power. He treated abraham like you are supposed to treat a limited guy when you are the talented one just like Ward did to Kessler. Dirrell got better and the people who were banking on AA beating dirrell didn't put maturation and progression into the equation. The dirrell that faught froch would have been hard to beat, much less the confident more agressive dirrell that dominated abraham who has been at his peak for a long time.
