Lost 40 pounds in camp and is probably gonna drop at least 10 pounds by his next fight, probably more.
I doubt he got paid anything worth mentioning for this farce. The only problem would be finding enough willing bums. Eventually you would run out and pick a guy with some actual talent.
This isn't a disgrace at all. It just is what it is. It's a former champion past his prime coming off a one-sided shellacking and testing the waters with a no-name. This is commonplace.
Quite a normal way of working his way back up again. Like Samuel Peter fighting bum of the month Ron Bellamy then moving his way up to cuddly Gabe Brown - and then beating Aguilera with an ugly stick. If Rahman is a disgrace then so is Sam Peter. Sam Peter has recovered from the low point of getting pumbled by Dr. Iron Fist. Nothing unusual.
It's a shame that is is broke now and has to take more punches again. His health is as risk. He wants a fight with Tua next, a rematch.
Just some recent opponents of former champions: Zab Judah: Ubaldo Hernandez 22-19-2 Sam Peter's three opponents before Aguilera and after Chambers and Vitali K: Gabe Brown 18-12-4 Ronald Bellamy 14-9-4 Marcus McGee 22-16-0 Pongsaklek Wonjongkam just before Kameda: Rodel Tejares 7-7-2 (And since his title loss, THREE fighters on their debut fight) Marco Antonio Barrera's two opponents before Khan: Freudis Rojas 1-7-1 Sammy Ventura 25-19-0 (Sorry, Addie)
I actually like the sound of Tua v Rahman III. Because chances are if he wins his next fight in a couple of days ( Tua that is ) he'll go back into hiding. Or fight another bum of the month like he fought last year.
