that is the first time i have seen this and i was thinking give him 5 mins to recover and let him continue .but personally i feel he could of continued if it had been the other way round the american press would talking about how abraham should of carried on .max schmeling / jack sharkey world heavyweight tittle fight springs to mind (low blow dq win)
there should be a rematch for AA

4 minutes is a lot of time. Abraham was getting close. I'm not saying he was looking for a way out, but he saw one and capitalised on it IMO.

Dirrell does not have the mental fibre IMO.

Dirrell was more hurt after the 10th round knockdown than Abraham at any point of the fight. He wasn't the same when he got up. He had been hit with harder punches in the fight. He has a sold chin, and the convulsions etc were pure acting.

 

Exactly how I see it.
Abraham was in the process of maybe snatching victory from the jaws of defeat then ****ing up in spectacular fashion!
He'll be kicking himself for this one for years.

Fake KO!! Dirrell is like the slippery cheat in class faking to get you in the ****.

but a complete foul so Arthur can't complain.

 

First time I saw it, didn't even occur to me Dirrell might have been faking. Seen it a few times since, and given the circumstances, it still doesn't make any sense for him to do that. I actually found the accusation pretty outrageous. But, when you slow it down, analyse the **** out of something, you start to see things that probably aren't there...

What I see now is the punch lands, Dirrell looks at AA and mouths something, then goes down - it does look suspicious, but I'm still 95% sure he was not acting. I think when we have seen Dirrell in action a few more times, we'll have a better understanding of his mental strength and character, which will help us to make a slightly more informed decision on this whole issue.

 

Either way I cant stand Dirrel, he spends most of a fight on his arse.

I'm not justifying his actions, he shoudn't have thrown the punch, but i think some people are being a bit harsh on him. It's interesting how some people give Barrera a ton of respect for being a badass in the ring for his Naz/turnbuckle moment and his hitting Marquez when he's down moment, yet they're majorly slating Abraham.

As i've said, i'm not defending AA, but he stopped throwing the second the ref told him too (as far as I can hear).

Abraham landed the jab and began dropping his right, obviously intending to throw it, you can see him watch dirrell the whole time, then bam, he throws the right uppercut when he's down. Although intentional, I don't think it was malicious at all, I just don't think it had registered with AA that Dirrell had fallen by that point.

He shouldn't have thrown the punch, but I don't think he's a bad guy for doing so.
