Saurland clearly feeds AA the "actor" line from off camera. What little hope AA had of becoming a name in the US probably just evaporated instantly when he repeated it. Maybe Saurland didn't care and had already given up the US market for AA by that point and was doing damage control for the German market? Who knows. Saurland is a snake and has done AA's reputation irreparable harm in that one sentence.

Thanks to Big Bone for this clip. Watch the downed fighter clearly look at the ref before he collapses. This an act too?

AA was losing that fight fair and square to a better man. He was clearly fouled and hurt. The idea that he should have shaken off a KO and continued is just plain absurd as people saying how Dirrell MUST react to a KO as if there is a rule book to follow on how the lights go out in any given circumstance.

I'm trying to reign in my anger with AA and put the blame for that sentence on Saurland but we have heard nothing more since this and it isn't helping. Man up Arthur Abraham.

And RJJ said what he did was not as severe as what Arthur did.

He didn't only throw one punch, but two!

He shifted the wrongdoing from AA to AD.

AA looked thoroughly confused after the fight. He said he though Dirrell was not all the way down. Fine, I can live with that. Then he sees the replay and realizes he is wrong. He starts to change his story. First loss and he is trying to rationalize using a foreign language. Fine. I can live with that. One HELL of a tough spot to be in. Then Saurland throws out that God awful quote for him. He needs to renounce that and soon.

But he didn't get away with it at all! I don't see many "Sauerland is telling the truth" threads thanks God. I hear you but you are preaching in a 100% religious crowd. **** Sauerland

You are holding Abraham to a different level of scrutiny than people in the past that have done similar things, RJJ, Ingemar Johansson, Jack Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera.

Those are great fighters just off the top of my head that have had similar things happen and have NOT been disqualified, with the exception of RJJ.

You're trying to lynch Abraham for his misquotations, but how about the most recent public release where he says he hopes Dirrell is fine and he thinks, in hindsight, that it was a knockout punch and just wished a healthy comeback for Dirrell.

He's just human, much like the HOF/ATG boxers that I have listed, who have done similar things and some gotten away with them!
Abraham may have fouled, may even have fouled intentionally, but he was just desperately looking for the knockout, as was Tua against Rahman and Mercer on more than one occasion.

I say lets carefully pick our words and criticism, we need to give Abraham a chance, and more importantly, Dirrell his props for giving a good show on the night.

You see plenty of "Dirrell was faking it" threads. Same thing. They are a direct result of that line. AA needs to man up and issue a statement and issue a sincere apology.

You guys are overlooking an obvious rebuttal to this footage. Namely: Montel Griffin was faking it.

He did wish Dirrell a healthy recovery and acknowledged the fact that he did not think Dirrell was faking or acting.

What more do you want out of Abraham, the guy to spend the remainder of his career on his knees apologizing for a simple mistake that many other greats have done in the past?

Yup, Sauerland didn't get away with squat. And AA's got some serious damage control to do if he wants to have any semblance of a career in the States.

No. I'm just hoping Abraham comes out and sets the record straight and stops people from putting the blame on Dirrell for this. Dirrell did a masterful job and is now receiving a lot of hate and derision with people blaming him for getting KTFO. They are basically calling him a cheat and a liar. This is unacceptable. AA needs to step up and issue a statement.

Agree with this, how anyone can accuse him of acting is beyond me.

Seriously? I just went and checked the front page. Nothing there. Dude. Seriously. Start a thread with it and maybe the 'healing' can begin. This is the first I've heard of it. Start the thread. End the ****. Seriously. Provide me the link and I'll change the title of this one. Seriously.
