By far the hardest I've ever got owned on ESB happened in the general - but to be fair I was talking some bull****. Anyway the British forum isn't so bad, if you just stick to boxing and don't talk out of your arse you get treated fine.

    ****in hell fire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is this for real ??????

If you cant take the heat on a forum then where can you take it , ill say this about the Brit forum , there is some serious knowledge kicking around it but far too many non boxing related shitty 1 liners .

It does take time to accept that people will write **** & wanker & " you havent got a clue " back to a thread or post instead of critiquing the post and re delivering there own opinion , as a matter of fact i remember typing that ill fly down the M62 to **** some one from Manchester on here :patsch:lol: because of the useless 1 liners .

I know ive gone on a bit there but i have to finish on this , this is an open forum , there should be no friendship's just rivalry's , and who gives a flying **** about what the next man thinks about your opinion , because you are always right in your own mind !!!! :deal:lol: ......................................... as long as youve got something to back that up obviously .

This has made my night ......................................... What a fantastic thread , ****in **** is taken way way way too seriously , great .........:hi:

Maybe, but the instances of new guys getting **** recently have all been to "one topic wonders". Half of them would have been aliases of other members in nay case/

    A bit of both.
I understand this is a place for boxing discussion and people(myself included) don't like when trolls come in and make **** threads-Betty and his threads/posts being an exception. But, when people start talking about an elite club of posters:?It's a ****ing forum. I hope nobody considers themselves elite, that'd just be quite sad.

Perhaps new posters are tarred with the same brush, largley because of ****wits like KO Artist

Maybe you're right, but I just can't remember there ever being references to the "elite group" and the "old boy's club" before.

    This forum is very cliquey.

I for one feel very left out and intimidated by these posters.

They try and make me feel as though I am a bad person for having different opinions to those of 'The Clique'.

I am considering starting over again here, with a clean slate, in hope of a measure of tolerance and acceptance from 'The Clique'.

I had no problems but then again ive not botherd to make many detailed posts which can be shot down.

It happens mainly when someone starts a chin thread or a thread getting on a fighters back for an absurd reason or if isbeen done 100 times already.

The Brit Forum and alias's, are we in danger of becoming the people we pretend to be?

No alias here as when I first logged on I thought I was joining a group of like minded friendly fans of the sport so gave my own name as my handle.

But I am thinking of creating an alias to just mindlessly have a go at fighters and posters who really rub me off!:twisted::twisted:

I think we should judge it on a topic by topic basis. But yeah, there is a bit of a clique in the Brit forum. I don't spend enough time in it to say whether or not thats a good thing, but I imagine not really. I've seen some new posters get insulted and shot down, for very minor things. Like the Irish guy who met Hatton - who turned out not to be very nice - and when he posted his experiences on here, everyone jumped on him. I thought that was a bit feeble to be honest. But maybe I don't have the whole picture.

I don't think noobs are treated unfairly at all on this forum. If somebody new comes here posting ignorant rubbish (usually in "text talk") then quite rightly they should get given a rough ride.

There does seem to be a few high profile posters on here that seem to set the tone, but I don't find it particularly cliquey. This forum is what we make it, noobs and veterans alike.
