Did Mayweather really dominate Ricky Hatton..?

I don't know what it was, but the other day......i decided to watch Mayweather vs Hatton once again.

And i must say, the fight was allot..allot..closer than people thought. I don't know what the **** the American judges where watching hardly giving a round to Ricky Hatton.

During the fight i noticed afew things about Floyd Mayweather

1. He dose'nt put punchers together
2. If he misses a punch, he very rarely rarely follows up.
3. It wasn't that hard for Ricky Hatton to get ontop of Floyd Mayweather..

I just wasn't impressed with Floyd Mayweather at all, he had 2 good rounds......Ricky Hatton early on was hands down winning the fight..............................

I don't know how, Mayweather will beat Sugar Shane Mosley in that kind of form...

"I'm not assed that Shane Mosley is 40 years old, Floyd Mayweathers last 3 performances have been ****"

Hatton gave him a good fight for maybe 6 rounds,after that Floyd took over and outclassed him,Hatton certainly made him uncomfortable for a few rounds,hatton has nothing to be ashamed of,he lost to a better fighter..

 

hatton suprisingly caught floyd a few times with the leaping left hook, but after round 4 or so it was one way domination

 

Yep he did. He let Hatton have his head for a few rounds and took over as the effort of Hatton trying to remain competitve became too much.

Mate ive never watched a single round of this fight since the night , i was in ****in tears and offered my best man at my wedding a straightner in the front garden because he said " Hatton's gettin outclassed here "

Anyway the way i remember the fight is thinking about round 6 you know what Hatton's not doing too bad here , then bang 6 , 7 & 8 and i was thinking Mayweather's figured him out and my eyes are filling up .

But then i was told by a friend that if you watch the HBO commentary they all had Hatton well in the fight in the mid rounds , its just we get subjected to that twat Jimm Watt with his " these are the darkest moments in Ricky's career " bull **** . But overall i think Hatton won 1 round imo , if i remember correctly i gave him one round , the rounds looked close to the naked eye , but when your not hitting someone and being outworked on the inside your not winning rounds .

Floyd Mayweather after round 4 was not dominating Ricky Hatton..

Ricky Hatton was not getting busted up and beaten around the ring, Floyd Mayweather had two stand out rounds...

Floyd doesn't really dominate anyone does he?

Hatton couldn't do much effective work at any point. Cortez didn't let him work close - and when he did get close it turned out Floyd was mighty strong and had a plan, meeting him with elbows and forearms.

Hatton kept it competitive for half the fight with sheer will and work rate but you'd have him losing that fight 9 times in every 10, it was comprehensive really.

 

dominate maybe the wrong word the... "in total control" might be a better way of saying it.

 

I watched this about 2 days ago, Hatton did better than I remember but Mayweather had too much class. Cortez was an absolute disgrace. After re watching this I fancy Pacquiao to beat Mayweather.

 

Mayweathers not stupid. He's the smartest mofo in the game. He gives you rounds so you end up getting comfortable and start opening yourself up. That's when he takes advantage of you.

 

Yeah I rewatched Castillo 1 lately, Castillo won that fight! I remember Floyd - Oscar quite well (I had Oscar level I think), fact is Floyd is far from unbeatable.

 

Cortez is too old to be refing big fights. I can see the ****er at 90 in a chair being wheeled round the ring and still making **** calls. He needs to retire.
