My opinion for all its worth is that John wont fall into the trap of coming forward in straight lines against Lindsay. He'll have too much movement for him and will hurt him to the body. Ask Stevie Bell, John is underated but not for much longer. Smith although a canny fighter with a great future, isnt ready for either of them.

If your basing this on Lindsays last fight watch the some of his other fights. He went to the body all night on Appleby, he set up his punches off the jab and he has a solid defence.

Lindsay in his last fight was a ring rusty one that didn't pick his shots well.

I said this before the Arthur fight i think Swifty stops Lindsey , Lindsey is a solid operator really compact but i think Smith stops him TBH , and i think he's ready for him right now too !!!!!!

Yet he still outclassed and battered a solid contender in Arthur. I think he beats Simpson on points if the fight is made.

i seen the fight with appleby but i still think he has the same tendancies in all his fights. hes a quick counterpuncher and has great inward and outward movement, but i reckon simpson can beat him. whether he does or not remains to be seen, but im looking forward to it :hey

im not convinced that smith IS ready for lindsay too ya know, but i think he will be, given a few more fights.

I firmly believe Stephen will beat Lindsay!! Smith is a frightening talent he really is!! Has all the talent and dedication to go very very far!!

Simpson is very underatted I must say and he'll be avoided by most British fighters I feel!! I know Stephen will fight him BUT it's a no win situation as he's lost before, If he beats Lindsay he'll get huge recognition and a world ranking where as I don't think he'd get that by fighting Simpson!! Like I said Simpson is a dangerous fighter, I watched him against my friend and gym mate and the kid is a wrecking machine..

i think smith would be more suited to and have a better chance against lindsay as opposed to simpson though. like i said, i think lindsay is a classy, but predictable operator. :think

dont get me wrong tony ,smith is a very good fighter but 12 rounds against simpson just now may be too tall an order. I've always liked your honesty here tony even when your commenting on boxers you know!:p

Still think your selling Lindsay the short end of the stick but i think as Lindsay moves up he will look more and more the part.

The Simo Vs Lindsay fight is a must really looking forward to that fight, if and when it comes off.

No doubt about it Smith definitely does have talent and skill hope he makes the step up to brit level soon because he has shown he is more than ready for it. Future fights with any of the three mentioned would be great but i hope to see Smith in with the likes of Truscott or Bhatia soon.

You know me Bill mate, Say it how I see it.. Simpson is probably the strongest little featherweight I've seen up close!! I'll say this since being with yourself he's without doubt gone up a level and I also feel he's now mentally much better!! I feel he was turning up in the past and not really believing in himself or maybe in the back of his mind he didn't really believe he had done enough in the gym or something?? But since I've seen you in his corner ALA the Trusscott matches he's been a different fiighter and one that seems to just not stop!! Detect & Destroy type!!

Like I said I would much prefer Stephen fight Lindsay and get more recognition as he's unbeaten!! I know Stephen though and I know he just wants to fight anyone just as Simpson does!! I think it's a race about who'll get to Lindsay first, I'll have it known too I rate Lindsay very highly, Tough kid with a good level of skill to his game!!
