Funny how Abraham never slipped once on the supposed slippery surface, yet Bambi on Ice Dirrell crumbles to his knees everytime Abraham has him cornered and some blame it on the water in the corner. Both guys were fighting in the same ring yet only one guy spent half the fight on his knees.
If anyone deserves to be suspended it is Dirrell for sitting down to avoid punches.

    You answered the question yourself.

I don't remember Abraham being much in that corner during the fight, much less being cornered and pressured by his opponent.

Can't agree. He lost. He's been disgraced. That's enough.

What the difference as Bas Rutten pointed out, is if you know to expect the blows it makes all the difference. That is why they eventually allowed the knees to the head when down.

In the heat of the moment it can be quite hard for a fighter to see when the opponents gloves touches the canvas...Abraham got disqualified and to me thats a fair punishment. I dont think it was a deliberate as many here thinks

I'm gonna lay this out so even a complete jerk like you can understand it. MMA fighters "on the ground" are still bracing (expecting) to be hit you idiot. That makes all the difference. If it didn't, then why does the referee jump in like a maniac when he feels the fighter is "defenseless". To prevent further damage. There are many fighters who've succombed to repeated shots, even when they continued to fight ( does Duk Koo Kim) ring any bells? The culmulative effects of head shots is represented everyday by Muhammed Ali. Just because you lack the actual knowledge about the subject, that's fine. It would be wise to STFU before everybody else finds out. Oops, too late...:bbb

p.s. don't EVER belittle my SERVICE to MY COUNTRY, undertand?

    Suspended ????
    He deserves an immediate rematch.
    Dirrel was done.
The KO disqualification was the only way for Dirrel to win.
And the Ref was definately bias.

The ref was equally incompetent to both sides when it came to KD's.

You notice few seem to mention the "other" no call. The one that nearly sent Abraham into the 3rd or 4th row. How Cole blew that one is still a head scratcher. :patsch

I'll go you one better. The KD of AA in the 4th? He was headed backwards from a forearm across his chest and then got tagged. That is why he wasn't hurt. He didn't have his feet set after the forearm push.

That definitely kept him from feeling the full force of the blow...

the initial DQ response was appropriate, it was reminicent of shots like Roy Jones did. I dont know how over the line it was.

Oddly noone mentions earlier in the fight when Abraham dropped his hands and turned from a low blow (though no stoppage called) Dirrel tried to decapitate Abraham but AA ducked it.

If he landed and ko'd AA there would ppl still have the hate?

You can't call timeout in a boxing match.

6 month suspension LMAO. He's never been in a fight, obviously, it was a heat of the moment sort of thing. Abraham saw an opening and tok advantage of it. How the hell is he supposed to know that Dirrell slipped on the we paint of the logo along with some water?

He got DQ'd which was right, and that's fair enough. Dirrell gets a win, Abraham gets a loss, but it's a DQ and DQ's are taken seriously, and the Super 6 Tourney gets a bit more exciting with everything tighting up a bit, everybody wins.
