What people fail to realize is that Pacquiao is not even a Welterweight he weighs 148 -149 on fight night and still dominated 2 top welterweights, Floyd outweighed his last opponent by 20 lbs on fight night and couldn't knock him out so what makes you think he can knock mosley out. Pacquiao is P4P #1 until he is beaten.

 

Nobody floyd has ever faced is as skilled as Shane..diego wasn't..oscar at 34 is not as good as shane is as at 39....hatton was mos def not on shanes level from an atg standpoint or skill standpoint...WW and V. Forrest were both prime when they fought Shane..I believe Vernon had shanes number and thats all...he was just a guy that Shane couldn't beat...>I believe if they fought again (rip vernon) that Vernon would still out do him..its just a style matchup problem for shane...

as for winky wright I think it was the size of Winky that gave Shane problems...that and the fact that Winky's defense and peek a boo style gave shane fits...

If Floyd stops Shane Mosley ... its better than any of Pac's recent victories because Cotto wasn't the same since the Margarito fight and he didn't fight how many were used to seeing him fight.

Floyd destroys Cotto (while Cotto is undefeated) ...

IMO he's already number p4p king ... he never lost it ... he' got it back with a sold decisive victory over Marquez and he's still the welterweight champion because he's yet to lose that title in battle ... the the title doesn't leave because he was inactive.

Spinks was still considered the HW champion when he fought Tyson, despite Tyson having all the belts.

Against De La Hoya he was only 148 fight night according to HBO.

 

Simply beating Mosley clearly would possibly be enough for Mayweather the ascend back to no.1. He was no.1, retired, came back, and beat no.2 and no.3. If he knocks out no.3, it will be very hard to keep him out of that no.1 spot.

U make a strong case, but if that happens, that mean Mayweather would have beating Jmm who was P4P #2 at the time and Mosley who is P4P #3 or #4 and WW champ makes an good argument for him. While Pac only beat only one top 10 P4P fighter.

 

Not when you look at things beyond how they look on paper.Mayweather-Marquez,do we really need to go there? Anyone who puts Mayweather ahead of Pac would be doing so based on 1 KO, which as ive said would be more impressive than any of Pacs recent victories if looked at individually but not when taking all his recent performances and everything else into consideration on both fighters part. However it is possible For Mayweather to overtake Pac without beating him, he just needs a few more victories against top opposition, not just one.
