Amigo, I'm Cuban too as you know because we have spoken about Cuban fighters here a few times, but I really MUST ask you this: Please, leave religion out of this, because I can barely hold my tongue and fingers to answer what you wrote there, believe me I'm burning with desire to answer back, but I won't because it will lead to confrontation about religion which is not the point of this board. So, for the sake of good relationships here, please leave religion out of this. As for the Gamboa fight, I totally agree with what you wrote about the fight, and I also think Gamboa took the fight lightly.
That's very true. Even though Gamboa was fighting at a mere 60% ( for unknown reasons ) he still defeated " easily " a 28-0 on his prime fighter who gave it all to beat Gamboa. I think Gamboa did'nt lose a single round against Barros and that shows that Yuri can also box anyone's ear off. I agree, don't underestimate this not so good performance from Gamboa, in his nexts fights I am very sure that he will once again go back to his old self...:good
That's probably right on the money, Gomez has always been a complete mess when it comes to training. It's not good at all for Yuri to get mixed up with JC Gomez and his parties... :-( But I think that yuri was not drunk, he probably did'nt train properly or maybe did'nt took the fight seriously enough, still he won every single round and even knocked down Barros... :good That shows Yuri's World Class caliber...
Mi buen socio Cubano, maybe you should write a personal message on ESB to me so that you can really express yourself with any questions or opinions about that topic, I will be more than happy to receive your mail and express our views about Jesus... :good We should'nt get " obsessed " with just boxing, and sometimes God is the one who derails our conversations into something that He wants us to hear, life is not just boxing, sports, girls and money you know. There's nothing wrong with sharing God's Word, on the contrary it's food for our spirit... Back to boxing, yes I think that Gamboa took Barrios very lightly and decided not to properly train and just practice some new " defensive skills " that by the way were very impressive from him. We have never seen Gamboa dodge and slip so many punches from all angles all night long !!! Un abrazo... :good
i'm sorry I havn't seen the fight, I see some mention that Barrios gave Gamboa problems in there? What problem did he give him exactly? Was he just a tough guy that could take a shot, or was he akward and Gamboa couldn't land flush? Or was it more that Gamboa didn't come prepared? i'm just wondering if there was anything there that would give JuanMa a clue as to what he would need to do for a fightplan against Gamboa.
he didnt give him problems at all man, gamboa won every single round except one or 2 , its just that he was an awkward opponent and gamboa wasnt able to finish him off like he usually does
your truth is only that your truth it doesnt make it the truth for everybody else.. so stop giving your opinion as the absolute truth :hat
real cubans aint religious haha i never even stepped into a church in cuba, i dont even know what they look like ooppsss sorry no religion talk allowed
Hola hermano, I sent you a message. Thanks for your e-mail !!! No, Barrios did'nt give Gamboa any real problems it was Gamboa who was fighting very different dodging, slipping and just attacking once in a while. Gamboa seemed to just be trying out new " defensive " moves maybe preparing himself for future mega-fights as he will need that defense later for future fights. Barrios proved to be very tough and had a very tight defence, thus preventing Yuriorkis in doing more damage. He knocked down Barrios in the 8th but did'nt seemed too interested in finishing him... Here are the first 8 rounds from Youtube... Bendiciones! :good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7IbUIAIylQ[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSqJuUHnE2Q&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2To6WvJqTY&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-Tx_LkK8Ug&feature=related[/ame]
Soy 100% Cristiano/100% Cubano. Getting to know your creator is not a matter of being Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican, American, Colombian, French, Japanese etc, it's about developing a " relationship " with the God that created you and finding out His purpose in your life, what He likes and what He does'nt like " for your own good "... Castro is the one responsible for my Cuban brother's lack of belief in God as he has planted the seed of " doubt " in all Cubans going through so much hardship. Advice: knowing God is not about going to any Church " but is a commandment " and not about " being religious ", it's about knowing His will in your life... You see, " ignorance of God's Law is no excuse "... What is the Law? God is the Law... Everyone is responsible for their own salvation, Cuban or not, religious or not, everyone will face God someday for their actions, and the only one who can act as your defense is a Lawyer called " Jesus Christ ", but if you don't have him He cannot defend you... Hermanos Cubanos y Latinos, Dios los ama !!! :good
