Can't believe I forgot about these.
Juan Laporte really wasn't limited as he had pretty good power as did Barkley-The guys mentioned above had medicore boxing skills,great chins and great hearts.They weren't going to outbox you or knock you out from 1 punch-they had to out gut you most of the times if they were going to win.

 

Oh I was thinking just limited technically. I'll go with a past prime Vargas.

Vito's always my first answer. No speed, no punching power, looked like a Clydesdale when he tried dancing on his toes, short, abysmal reach, little resistance to cuts, couldn't throw a straight shot to save his life. All that nature gave him was an armored chin. Most everything else was guts and conditioning. Yet somehow, he became the only undisputed champion in all of boxing, and his one successful title defense was against Hagler, of all people!

I don't buy Freddie Roach for this category, and some good latter career knockout wins and dominant performances of his are beginning to surface on youtube, where he shows surprising power, supposedly his greatest competitive weakness. Earlier in his career at 126, one of his nicknames was "Fast Freddie." Certainly he had limitations, but he was far from void of any talent and natural ability.

Marciano had an armored chin, ridiculous natural punching power and physical strength, and badly underrated hand speed, which he used to decimate Rex Layne. Between the hand speed and punching power, Rocky had it all over Antuofermo.

 

Rocky also kept low to be a hard target and had good defense when he needed to. He wasn't as hittable as people make him out to be but no Locche either. Many if this thread were just gutsy then I'd have a ton of names.

 

Eric Lucas is another name to throw out there. Cristobal Cruz I think may be the best example of the moment other than Andrade.
