Awesome. That's some serious wisdom that Floyd and the rest of these young cats need to hear. proud of Bernard for saying it like it is. I wish Floyd weren't so insecure and lame outside of the ring, but God love him for what he does inside the ring.
No, my friend, Jamaica Queens has nothing to do with country of Jamaica. Absolutely nothing. atsch Nice try though. There are some Jamaicans that live there (them fools is everywhere in NY), but The bulk of them lived in Crown Heights and Flatbush, especially back in the 70's and 80's. And even today, there are more Dominicans up and down Linden Blvd. Franny Lew, and Jamaica Avenue than actual Jamaicans. Damn, son. Everyone in NYC knows that ****. Again, it's the internet age. If you aren't sure about something Wikipedia that **** or something. You have no excuse for your ignorance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaica,_Queens And yeah, I must admit, I'm throwin out that same old "Queens was just a buncha Disco ni99as" argument that we always came up with, but the **** is true. You absolutely can't deny that they was way behind with the creativity aspect of the culture. They had more to do with the commercialized aspect of it - even from the very beginning. By the way, I hope you aint trying to sit there with a straight face and compare Southside Jamaica to the South Bronx. Oh dear.:-( And you talk about Hollis??? Put down the Run DMC and LL Cool J Tapes. You would have been better off talking about Baisley Park. You sound like a dude from Iowa who moved to the city so he can find himself.
Considering my cousins attended Jamaica High School and Hillcrest, pretty sure I know what I am talking about Jamaica. I was not saying that Jamaica Queens have anything to do with the country but there is a sizeable Jamaican population this side of Queens. I don't need to Wiki my Queens, BX and BK knowledge. I grew up in Queens and Brooklyn and have relatives in BX. Of course I will deny that. There is no proof of it. All if it is heresy by others from other BX and BK trying to push their own borough. Everyone is trying to make their agenda. BX can keep playing that game since it irkes them about the whole Foundation thing. OMG - here we go again with the whole South BX. It is like KRS-One style - you guys never got off your past - your 15 min of fame. I will take LL and DMC over Pun and the other fat Rican any time. :hey And let us not even talk about Nas, Tribe, 50, Mobb, etc (just poking at you. It is really stupid to even argue this as even experts who have studied this for a decade can't agree with it. And many of the people who knows are either dead or have fogged memories).
*Bossip Exclusive* Bernard Hopkins Tells Bossip I Was Never A HBO House Negro! This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected 4128 Views This content is protected Bernard Hopkins, The Executioner, is set to fight washed up Roy Jones on April 3rd. Hopkins is 40-some-odd-years-old, but still kicking a*s in the ring and outside business wise. Bossip chopped it up with the outspoken and surprisingly sharp Executioner, who is also a partner in Golden Boy Productions. BOSSIP: We can talk about the upcoming fight a little, but Bossip wants to know your secret to success and what you represent as a partner in De La Hoyas Golden Boy production team? Hopkins: I feel it is groundbreaking in being versatile. We tell our kids to not put all our beans in one basket, but do we mean what we say? I stayed in the game for my brain, but I was brought to the game with my fist. I want to be this, or I want to be Jay-Z, but what are you doing to learn about managing yourself? You cant manage yourself when youre ignorant. I stayed in the game because my education furthered me in the game, as far as management. BOSSIP: So, its not just about boxing to Bernard? Hopkins: I have been blessed to do all three manage myself since 95, teamed up with Oscar 5 years ago . and boxer from day one! Thats a manager, promoter, fighter three hats! Before that I wasnt with an exclusive promoter, even though I had the titles. You have to be a crusader of your own career. You have to learn their game and not become them. When you can blend in with the atmosphere that you are a part of you become a serious threat. Every now and then they try me but I still got that dog in me. BOSSIP:What do you mean they try you? Hopkins: Well, its about knowledge brother. They never told me how to do low interest rate bonds calling me crazy when their investments failed. Then questioning my business and personal practices and outlook on life. I have been held down by the system and by my own peers. BOSSIP:So have you studied, learned, and become a better business man/person/boxer? Hopkins: The system put on a full blown assault against Bernard Hopkins and tried to discourage me, and take away my time. I am a late bloomer I am a late starter. I didnt start getting my dues till I was 30. I have not walked away at this age because I have never been hurt, never been severely cut, never been really beat up. I am still fresh. I have that luxury of talking with intellect. How is he talking like he doesnt have marbles in his mouth most boxers dont talk like that when he is their age???!! The in God We Trust printed on that money is not my money that is theirs!!! F*ck me doing that time, I have worked to be where I am I have never been a HBO boy, or house negro. I was never the guy inside the house even though I have the coat on I am still a field negro. They dont have to like me, but they will respect me. I would rather my wife and kids to respect me and love me instead of them. BOSSIP: What is your key to Executing? Your body shot? because we know you have a deadly one. Hopkins: The body shot is the money. The body shot slows down everyone. BOSSIP: Any predictions on the upcoming fight with Roy Jones Jr.?? Hopkins: Prediction is this; 60% of the winnings to the guy that wins this fight. That is all
Did you grow up with Hopkins? How the f*** would you know. What gives you the right to speak on behalf of BHOP. Take Floyds co** out ur mouth fa***got. You can be Floyds friend.... youll pay to be his friend LOL
How would i know what stupid azz? All i said about bhop was that he was in the streets at an early age while floyd was in the gym. Its well documented that bhop was in plenty of trouble as a young kid and when to jail at 17 or 18 and had nine felonies at the time. He got sentenced to 18 years then. He did 5 years. So whats your point again?
Smart words, although he still has to say hes got two condos and a 17,000 square foot house. Floyds a moron, and he will be just like Tyson at the end of the day.
