Those guys (And others) do have the "Aura of Extremism" about them when Wlad gets mentioned (Funnily enough WM talks a lot of sense, when you get him off the subject of Wlad). As for Wlad, he's a class act who has brought nothing but good to boxing and I am a fan (Despite is over-cautious style) but I really want to see him in a "Fight" for a change!!
Realistically though, a win here should set Tua up for a crack at the winner of Holyfield-Botha, rather than Wlad. These are the senior tour.
Round 6 A lot of cobra and mongoose action, head fakes, and jab feints from both men. Finally Tua traps Ahunanya in the corner and lays waste to his midsection. Ahunanya, if hurt by the body attack, isn't letting it show so far. Tua partially lands a hook that knocks Friday back. Friday begins poking a jab in at Tua to try and get some space to clear the ropes. Tua throws a lead hook that is blocked but follows with a right to the body that lands. Tua hook, Ahunanya jab, Tua jab - the punches are few and far between in the last minute...and all one at a time. Tua round.
I agree with a previous poster...I bet tua has won every round on the official cards...****, they have the PM of NZ there...like there going to allow friday to take a decision...
Round 7 Tua hooking low and Friday grabs him and tries to wrestle him back. Tua keeping a steady diet of jabs and body blows, not much headhunting with his ower punches. Ahunanya standing his ground a little more this round, jabbing back at Tua's head and even mixing in a couple of nice hooks that Tua blinks off. Ahunanya lands a couple late to try and steal the round.
If he had of blown Friday away, I may have been able to debate this with you, but he hasn't. That said IB is a good judge and a respected poster and as he is watching the fight I guess that he is the guy to ask.
