Dirrell was all over the place in the Froch fight. It was a limp performance to be honest. I had him winning because he landed more effective punches but it was still absolute **** from him and he was the main contributor to that fight stinking the place out because Froch had to chase him, then he'd miss because he's slow as ****, then Dirrell holds, Dirrell goes to the ground. It was a frustrating fight. He was much better in that regard in the Abraham fight thankfully. So hopefully he's matured. I think he'll always have those spoiler elements, falling down and holding but as long as he keeps it to a reasonable level its not too bad.
Its funny because the very people who say Froch cheated then go and back Ward and claim his cheating is ok. Lets not talk ****, the US are backing the american fighters no matter what they do, the brits are backing thiers the danish back thiers and the germans or whatever Abraham claims to be back him. Americans though try to make this a US V Euro thing but the fact is, why would an Englishman give a **** about a german?
you and your buddies can rescore the fight as many times as you want. but it isnt gonna change the result... your man dirrell lost get over it.....:hey
he's got a world title that he won against the current wbc lhw champ, then went to america for his first defence and defended it and then beat dirrel. how can he not be world class if he's a world title holder? atsch
well there's 2 clear fouls that dirrel should have been penalised for against froch. and what has the "Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission" got to do with a fight held in the UK under the marques of queensbury rules. "The This content is protected have been the general rules governing modern boxing since their publication in 1867." "In general, boxers are prohibited from hitting below the belt, holding, tripping, pushing, biting, spitting or wrestling. The boxer's shorts are raised so the opponent is not allowed to hit to the groin area. They also are prohibited from kicking, head-butting, or hitting with any part of the arm other than the knuckles of a closed fist (including hitting with the elbow, shoulder or forearm, as well as with open gloves, the wrist, the inside, back or side of the hand). They are prohibited as well from hitting the back, back of the neck or head (called a "rabbit-punch") or the kidneys. They are prohibited from holding the ropes for support when punching, holding an opponent while punching, or ducking below the belt of their opponent (dropping below the waist of your opponent, no matter the distance between). If a "clinch" – a defensive move in which a boxer wraps his or her opponents arms and holds on to create a pause – is broken by the referee, each fighter must take a full step back before punching again (alternatively, the referee may direct the fighters to "punch out" of the clinch). When a boxer is knocked down, the other boxer must immediately cease fighting and move to the furthest neutral corner of the ring until the referee has either ruled a knockout or called for the fight to continue."
exactly, in the USA they dont even use rules, headbutts from boxers (Ward, Holyfield etc) are all ok, you can whoop an american clearly unlike the close Froch v Dirrell desicion, and still get a loss, Sturm, Lewis (ok LL's was a draw but he was robbed more blindly than any american ever has)
Dirrell caught him with 3 good, fast, accurate flush shots that Froch didn't see and stunned him. Boo-****ing-hoo. How about the rest of the fight when Froch was piling forward looking to fight and Dirrell got on his bike and ran away shitting himself for 12 rounds. The dude is a grade A ***** for that showing alone.
Dirrell lacks the mental fibre IMO. He's scared of getting hit' I think his unknowledgable Grandpa has forced him into boxing.
heres a better question for you. Why didnt Dirrell fight froch with the same tenacity that he fought King Arthur?
Sorry its called boxing ****. Did the guy in your avatar stand and trade with inferior opponents? Of course not. And I notice you say "how bout the rest of the fight" but cant name any punches landed, instead you describe blundering forward like a ******. But I gues thats called "Looking to fight" :rofl How about you learn "looking to box"
I suggest people relax about Dirrell's slipping and sliding. Abraham paid him him dearly for it! We are about even! :bbb Next time Dirrell will think twice before slipping in front of a power puncher:deal
The thing is, I can almost never predict in advance when it is I'm about to slip. I suppose if I could, I would never slip.
