Being Latino is a culture not a race, only in ****ed up USA is that considered a race,go to any south american country and ask ten different people in the street what is they're race and see how many of them will answer with "im latino",i'll tell you how many of them will-zero.
If a black dude says, "I'll never let a white dude beat me", the correct response is for the white dude to go ahead and beat him, not complain about it. (Hopkins-Calzaghe) If a white dude says, "I'll never let a black dude beat me", the correct response is for the black dude to go ahead and beat him, not complain about it. (Hagler-Minter) If one dude accuses another dude of being on PEDs and asks him to take a test, the correct response ... actually, let's not go there.
The ignorant one is you. I don't blame you though. The concept of blacks not being racist in its truest since was introduced to me by white people. I even had to take a tolerance class for my job and again, more white people, introduced the same concept. When you think about it, it makes sense. Again, what negative effect has racism from blacks ever had on people as a whole in this country? No one said it's ok for anyone to act in a hateful way towards anyone. It's just not always racism. Just because it isn't racist though doesn't make it ok, You're again rambling about **** that I never argued. It's not my fault that I'm educated and understand what racism truly is. Quit being ignorant and living in fantasy land. Obama is not a dictator. Anything he proposes has to be passed by the senate(pretty much all of whom are white). Incorrect again. It's ok though, you just don't understand the concept. Whites are a large majority in this country. They hold most of the political and economical power in this country. If white people wanted to get together and make and enforce laws that affect people on a racial level, they can. They have in the past, and they have the voting and political power to do so now. Blacks, or any other minority for that matter, simply don't have numbers to pull the same stunt. It doesn't matter that Obama's black. He still needs the mostly white congres to pass his laws and the mostly White America to approve of him and re-elect him. What's sad is that you actually think you are in a position to lecture me about any of this. I have pretty good knowledge about how The American political and social system works. In this situations, it's simple. It's all about the numbers. A particular race would have to have the numbers in their favor to exert any true racism against another particular race. White people are the only ones in this country with those type of numbers. That's a fact. Does that make them better? Of course not, but that's not what I'm arguing.
it was because he was a ko merchant not because he was white. big punchers are allways popular it had nothing to do with colour.
I think you have to whip enough game black guys (or whatever ethnicity runs the division) that nobody thinks you are there because of "racial preference". IMHO, Kelly passed that, but I don't think anyone can deny that every time a White guy goes up against Hopkins there is a large contingent of folks that "hope" Hopkins gets his butt kicked.
people are acting like kelly is some big star in america when first off, any KO artist who works his way up with some nice kos and good fights then wins the actual lineal championship in same fashion will get pushed to become a star and 2 - Pavlik isnt a star lol
lol, how many current black boxers were enslaved by white people? none there's a few boxers that were enslaved by don king when they signed contracts, but he's black so it don't count.
I completely agree. It is like saying "Asians". There are a ton of distinct ethnic groups under that umbrella. My point is that when you are talking America on an international board such as this and throw out an ignorant number like 80% of America is White due to the Latino population it is patently false. The largest group of Latinos, Hispanics, or whatever you want to call it in America are Mexicans. They are not white. Probably followed by Puerto Ricans. They are not white. Then Cubans. Not White. So are you now saying that expat-Spaniards and their descendants make up 10% of the American population? Please.
In this day in age everyone is a "racist and a bigot" by your standards. He didn't say "*******-ass, ******, pecklewood mofo ain't ****..." And believe me, a hardened, ex-con, who happens to be a 46 year old black man living in a "white" America, has much harsher words (for white people) lurking in his damaged mind. Your on the internet and that stuff still bothers you? I see that crap all day, everyday. Tiring and frustrating, yes, but you ain't going to change the world. It's full of idiots. If you have a wife or girlfriend imagine you two are entrenched in a vicious, heated argument. Whom is right in the matter is irrelevant. Recall how you feel if your trying to LOGICALLY AND SLOWLY explain things to her (if you have that capacity) from your perspective. Do you remember the frustration, awe, rage simultaneously you felt when she refused, or simply couldn't understand where you were coming from? All the whilst her argument comes from emotion and "gut" feelings. That is the relationship all the people in the world share. We just aren't on the same page. Nick Lachey to Jessica Simpson-"Arguing with you is like arguing with this spoon." The other evening while discussing the Euro-dominance of the heavyweight division, a group of commentators asked a question. I'm paraphrasing here-"Is the boxing public quietly seeking out a 'Great Black Hope' to inject life into the heavyweights?" Is that a bigoted and racist statement? I didn't think so.
I don't doubt that whatsoever, and I don't think Hopkins would have it any other way. He knows that pushing the buttons of the ethnic group his opponent belongs to can not only get into his opponent's head by putting more pressure on him, it'll sell more tickets. Hops has never forgotten this simple rule: If people like you, they'll buy tickets and watch you fight. If they hate you, they'll buy tickets and watch you fight. If they're indifferent towards you, they probably won't buy ****. And Bernard's got no problem playing the bad guy to capture both sides of the market. :hey
That ******ed logic right there is actually why you are racist, being offensive due to colour is wrong not matter which colour your are and what has happened historically. Who are you to decided what should and should not hurt an individuals feelings? Dont mean nothing to you but you feel the need to push your warped opinion of how blacks cant be racist and why :nut You! dont know what your talking about, using half baked logic to suit your agenda dont make you not a racist ****, which you clearly are because you have made a conscious effort to back Hopkins and defend what he said, it doesn't bother you though does it? yeah right. BTW this is also not the only thing he has said is it (Calzaghe) Your a straight up racist.
People can have their feeling hurt from whatever they like. And hurtful and offensive behavior is of course wrong. However, just because you find something offensive doesn't make it racist. First off, I'm not responding to any racial taunts towards blacks, so your point is irrelevant. Second, my opinion is not warped. It's well accepted and taught in insitutions of higher learning all throughout the country. You can accuse me of being a racist all you want, it means nothing. That's simply your overwhelming ignorance getting the best of you. I guess all of Hopkins' white friends and associates are racist as well.
Yep. B-Hop is a typical angry old man, hahaha. In this case Black. He was hell on Puerto Ricans when he was fighting Tito. He galvanizes the Black, American, and anti-opponent fans and then he galvanizes the support of the racial group and pro-opponent fans. In the end it is just sales upon sales. The man knows how to sell a fight even if it means he sells it to the worst of human nature. :yep
