Dude Miranda had that first fight with Abraham by TKO5, and the biased ass hometown german officials changed their minds and let the fight continue AFTER stopping it. Abe's jaw was hanging off his face!!! :nono Miranda got KTFO in the second fight tho.
HBO shows both fights on their April 17th guide. I dont know why they took it off the boxing site. It was there last week.
Does any1 knows the exact height & reach of LB. Boxrec says Bute 70″/ 178cm and Miranda 77½″/197cm.:yikes I read in an article coming from the mouth of Bute that he has reach advantage over Edison... ?!?!!? :blood The height Miranda 5′ 10″ / 178cm Bute 6′ 2″ / 188cm in the same article LB said he had 7 cm height advantage over Edison not 10 :huh. :wtf
Against Zuniga, showtime listed Bute's reach as 72". In the first fight against Andrade it was listed as 74". On HBO they gave the arm length (24") and not the reach. Either way, Miranda obviously has longer arms.
The 70" of reach listed on Box Rec is obviously a mistake. Lucian would have to have dwarf arms and a little bird chest for that to be true.
I figured out he's right height it is 6 ft 1 in (185 cm) listed on wiki and he's site as well . The reach on his site says 27.5'' I guess that's his arm length not like " HBO they gave the arm length (24")" . Still don't know the exact reach.
Andrade, 28-1 (21), from Mexico will enjoy a two inch reach advantage, but will he be able to keep the constant pressure from Bute, off him? http://boxinggreats.multiply.com/notes?&page_start=60 Librado Andrade is listed on wiki and boxrec with 78″ / 198cm
Any more news/rumors in Romania about Bute's next fight? Last I heard they were talking about a possibility of him fighting Stieglitz. I wonder if there's actually been discussions with the Stieglitz team or if it's just all wishful thinking.
Only the old articles about him fighting at Steaua stadium . They never pronunced Stieglitz name . Obreja the Romanian Boxing Federation president said depends on the finances if it will be a defense or a unification. The last 2 article's i saw where about him wining an award : Bute is "Mr body puncher" in March 2010, The Ring Magazine - "Bible of boxing", known as the most prominent journal in the world - presents superlatives 2009. One is rewarded and Lucian Bute, IBF world champion at super middleweight.American specialists have rewarded him with Lucian Trophy Tony Zale, Boxer is given annually to the cleanest and most spectacular shots to the body. and another article about him eating to fast Larouche reveals Bute's little defect: "He's eating too fast"
Bute's next fight is supposedly schedule for July. There just isn't enough time for the winner of Bika-Brinkley to get ready since they'll be fighting on May 28th. If Bute really ends up fighting in Romania this summer it will probably be against some random opponent from the IBF top15. After looking at the rankings. I'm hoping some new names will show up soon because otherwise there's nothing exciting there. Even if a rematch wasn't a ridiculous idea, you could still scratch the Z man completey off the list. His management said he will never fight above 160 again.
