i had a conversation with eubank about 10 years ago and asked him a little bit cheeky like, why he never fought the bomber.his response?
"let me tell you about that man,you could take a handful of rice and throw it at him.you still wouldn`t hit him and that is why i never fout herol graham"

i know an old butcher whos old man fought in the 20`s.according to the old guy(who did a lot of his fighting stateside) the greatest exponent of the sport he ever saw was the australian young griffo.apparently his party piece was to walk into a new york nightclub, pull his handkerchief out of his pocket and stand on it.50 dollars to any man who could hit him without taking either foot off the handky!

    Happy days.
I just love the fella to bits.
The best one I ever went to was when he actually had his hands tied behind his back and went fully 4 minutes without taking a single shot.
Sat in the crowd with us were two mesmerised kids - Naseem Hamed and Ryan Rhodes.

    :deal:lol:

Nice vid post. Be interesting to see an amateur boxer in there to see if it would be just as bad as with the average man from the street.

    :good

In 90 years someone will no doubt be using this footage out of context somewhere to argue the "old-timers" had no skills.;)

Okay, Kell, here's one for ya...Herol vs Calzaghe?

For me if you take the height of Calzaghe at 168, i couldn't see Herol beating Joe and maybe lost as wide as 10-2. Watching that Lacy fight Joe looked like he did a desk full of cocaine lol. Joe walks through everything in the first couple of rounds and is balls on accurate with his combos. I can't think of too many people especially any 168 pounders who could've beaten Joe apart from prime Roy.

Hold on...I feel like a total d-bag for going on record and stating that a fantasy matchup would have proved 118-110 in Calzaghe's favor. what an utter stupid thing of me to say by discrediting a prime Bomber who was a very fast starter and slick as they come. let me revise that fantasy matchup downwards to Calzaghe at 115-113 or 116-112 at the most. please forgive my momentary lack of brain capacity as it's almost quitting time here, lol.

    Give over, for ****s sake!

He's having a good time, enjoying himself and giving a big group of people a great time and something for them to remember.

What a miserable git you are!

This has done nothing but made me like the guy more and I bet all those people at the club thought the same. Plus, there may well just have been a few guys there who suddenly had an interest in boxing, where there was none before, thanks to our Herol.
