Thats what I said, a point should have been deducted.

Marquez had his arm and elbow wrapped around the ropes, and was further down than at a 45 degree angle and with his glove to the canvas......

The ******* calls Marquez' elbow coming in contact with the ring ropes a knockdown in their rematch, but wont man up to say Pac hit Marquez when he was down, seeing that Marquez' whole arm was wrapped on the ropes and his other hand touching the canvas.

    How can this be explained?
You have one of your hands wrapped around the ropes and the other hand on the canvas, thats not a clear knockdown to the *******.

......but oh, if your elbow briefly comes in contact with the ring ropes while you try to gather your balance, thats a clear knockdown missed by the referee?:nut

These *******s are so *******ed its beyond belief!:lol::nut

=/ I dont think he saw the hand on the ground IMO.

And not every ref calls hitting the ropes a KD.

As they should'nt call hitting the ropes a knockdown......

Look at the gif of Marquez with his arm and elbow wrapped around the ropes......his legs are also outstretched in front of him, he's about at a horizontal position......
Thats clearly a knockdown......Marquez back bounced off the middle rope for Gods' sake....that was plain to see even to Pac.

    Heat of the battle.

He saw himself being held up. And JMM was desperately trying to do so.

JMM thought the fight was over after he went down.

The irony is that that extra punch from Pac actually is what made JMM determined to get back at Pac......

These are JMM's own words in explaining what went through his mind when Pac hit him when he was down......'Me la vas a pagar cabron!"
.....which roughly translates, "you're going to pay for that you ****!"

......the incident actually only served to strenghthen JMM's resolve!:bbb

Either way. JMM went on to box beautifully as the fight progressed.

Kevin Iole's reaction to this clearly indicates he is a ******. But in fairness to the Pac-Marquez bit, Marquez wasnt hit as cleanly as Dirrell and it was already a clear knockdown. It Would have been far more shocking to see Pacquiao DQ'ed against Marquez than it was to see Abraham DQ'ed against Dirrell.

Anyone know of Iole's view of Barrera's cheap shot on Marquez? It was worse than both of the punches already mentioned

Even if Pacquiao would have taken a full windup and knocked Marquez unconcious with the shot, most would have said, "Marquez was a beaten man anyways, he'd gone down three times already".......and ref Cortez likely would have ruled Pacquiao the winner, which would have been the wrong thing to do imo.

That bafoon Cortez followed through with a count on Marquez, knowing full well that Pacquiao had hit him while he was down.:-(

It does'nt matter if you're clearly winning or losing, you hit a fighter with a shot you know lands with authority and it knocks the fighter out, the ref has to disqualify the offender........its really that simple.

Marquez was given a long count, Cortez is garbage.
