    I doubt it now

I'm sure that in this week's column Rhodes will be a glass jawed journeyman who feasted on a weight drained, never beat anyone decent Jamie Moore :nut

Hopefully this will lead to some good fights for him, needs to keep active though with his style and knocking on in years.

It seems that Hatton has got Rhodes to replace Macklin.

I take it Rhodes will go for the 154lbs IBO title now. In all fairness though, if Hattons gonna keep pumping money into this promotional company, fair play to him, and it bodes well for Rhodes as well.

He desperately needed another main eventer after Small losing belt. Not like its a certainty that McDonagh beats Woolcombe.

Brook will be an interesting one if his contract runs out with Warren in July. With his relationship with Rhodes could easily see Hatton getting him as well.

Brook has already signed with Warren.
Rhodes fights 21st May 2010 in Sheffield.
Voluntary defence opponent not yet agreed but nearly there.
Won't be a UK based fighter.

Why would European champion Rhodes fight Small now? Someone who has just lost the British belt??

Rhodes isn't getting any younger and wants to get a move on at getting that "world" shot.

A little surprising given Rhodes close relationship with Dave Coldwell.

Anyway good to see Rhodes back in action soon :good

Just two Hatton fighters so an easy one for them to make.

Jumping in bed with a different promoter.

Saying that was Rhodes ever fully with Hayemaker? Whats happened to Warren's options? All a bit wrangled.

I'd forgot Small was with the Hatton's. Suppose it wouldn't be the worst voluntary, I just think Rhodes needs to be targeting world ranked fighters at 33 and Small definitely doesn't deserve a chance at the European belt.

Small is a complete waste of time for Rhodes at this stage of his career.

We seen with Macklin that Hatton promotions have a lot of ambition. I could see Rhodes getting a title shot at the end of the year.

Would be sad if the rumours are true that Macklin is leaving them though.
