Haye's right hand against Ruiz

i just hope haye doesn't damage his hand, or atleast early in the fight.

 

Interesting points LHL, but the delivery of Toney's over hand right and Dave's is very different, Haye although it carrys more power throws it from so far out that its really the difference between a pro and novice compared to how fluid and accurate Toney's is, Haye's will be much easier to read and smother, whereas even though Toney was out of his prime and obese, no one performs that shoulder rock away any better which means he'll continue to catch people with it even in his 70s. lol

Its not just about throwing the over hand right, its the feints that procede it and the technique with which its thrown. I don't wonna see Dave swinging for the fences and shooting his load too early in this fight, he's better of mixing it up (the punches and the pace) throwing alotta jabs, measuring and countering Ruiz and then leading with the occasion hook and barrage. Keep this fight away from the inside and make it as 'clean' as possible and don't let Ruiz get into a grove whereby he can make it ugly and cut your activity.

Its gonna be tougher then some expect but Dave should come through it with flying colours in the end. Beyond this though i can't see how he beats the Klits, I know that some people are still entertaining the "overpowering" David Haye against the Klistcko's aka T1 and T2000 aka The DestructoCons aka The Frankeinsteiners aka Lion and Car Voltorn aka Robocops Big Brothers aka Ivan Drago's Play Cousins aka Looks like the Eastern European Block had the weapons of Mass Destruction the whole time. You get the picture LOL just can't see it, against either brother.

 

I disagree... Haye throws a very accurate and quick straight right which isn't wild at all... Look at the Right straight that drops Gurov

 

Haye has the ability to do exactly what Toney and Jones did but finish the fight by KO.

Haye has looked great but he seems to have a tendency to get poor technically. He OFTEN pulls his right hand back but gets away with it due to speed. The defence gets leaky and the footwork might look good but it isn't.

I wasn't very impressed with Haye against Valuev. It could be Valuevs size. I've seen bigger guys undo guys technically because of the adjustments that need to be made. Against Ruiz I expect him technically and explosively to get back to his best.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he gets him outta there in 3!!!

 

Landing won't be the problem unless Ruiz has suddenly gained some sick catching, blocking and moving defence. You never know but the odds are that Hayes skills and speed will find the mark. It then depends on how clean, how often and how hard he does.

I wouldn't be suprised if this fight is over in 1 through til 5/6.

 

Thats a big predictions, considering only Tua has KO'd Ruiz.

I think Haye will start the 1st round slow, recce whats in front of him and check what kind strength Ruiz has. One thing is for sure, Haye will land a few bombs.

 

I don't know I think he may try the bum rush approach in this one. Be ****in exciting if he did!!!

It's astounding, I honestly don't know how he managed to get it over the top everytime he threw it. It's the punch that will stagger Ruiz and eventually lead to a Haye knockout win.

 

Ruiz is getting the Sky treatment alright. in truth Haye is a level above what he has faced. his 3 best opponents in Toney, Jones Jnr and Holyfield were either past there prime or in a weight class far to high.

I cant see Ruiz taking Hayes punches of more than 6 rounds.

 

I agree. And I don't think Ruiz will be able to avoid them!!!

 

a bit off topic but according to sky Ruiz is 27th in the heavyweight rankings...what rankings are these that they're using, and plus im surprised they'd share that kind of information it doesn't really build up the fight does it - not like them
