Say Hopkins wins a clear UD against Jones and Haye looks impressive against Ruiz and they fight 6 months from now? Hopkins gets time to put on 20 lbs of muscle the RIGHT WAY and walks in around 205 or so, maybe 200 to be fast. I think he walks around at about 185 right now.

Is this a case of too much size, power, and youth or does Hopkins have enough to pull off another miracle?

Pains me to say it, but I'd favor Haye in this one. Too strong.

Haye has pretty much every advantage except experience, bigger/faster/stronger i don't see anyway Hopkins wins.

A bit of a repost on my part but it fits

id probably root for Hopkins to pull this win off, and i def think that Hopkins would have his moments, but for him to win? I dont see it at all, and i dont even see it as close.

Haye is bigger, is more athletic, if faster, and hits harder, and often has a nice way of measuring and keeping distance.... not to be missed is the fact that Haye has some decent reflexis too, and for Hopkins this means he will have to close the distance and try to rough Haye up on the inside (i dont see him catching haye from the outside much due to Hayes speed, reflexis, and range) So assuming he closes the distance on Haye without problem, hes still going to be in with a guy stronger and bigger then him, I see hopkins winning a few rounds off of his wits and some very good spurts here and there, but over the course of the fight i really, really think Haye proves to be too big coupled with being too dynamic for Hopkins at this stage (and maybe any stage if im honest)

This is just IMO of course, but i dont see why hopkins has as many backers to win against haye as he does.

Not saying i wouldnt watch And i wouldnt mind Hopkins pulling out such a victory, one for the ages no doubt IMO, and id be eating plenty of humble pie as well, but i simply dont see it. He would do better against some other heavies though i think, a slower, more straight forward type fighter. So not saying i dont think X cant be succesful at heavyweight, i just dont see him making it very close with Haye, let alone winning.

Haye wins by rapage. Brutal KO with in 6 rounds easy money for the Hayemaker.

    I hear ya.

Yeah, Haye has hand speed and that bothers Hopkins because that messes up his ability to fight a calculated fight but Hopkins is the MASTER at maintaining proper distance and not getting hit flush. Look at what he did to Calzaghe? If he wasn't 43, would he have gased? Anytime he had some rest, he was landing counters and nullifying Cazaghe's attack. He does little things to keep you away and finds a way to get in his shots.

All i know is i would be so intrigued by this fight.

Why would BHOP avoid Dawson to fight someone who is just as skilful, athletic, fast, youngish and more importantly hits 10 X harder?????? I dont see the logic.

So Wlad really does wanna fight this guy?

If that is the case, Haye needs to man up. He did talk all that ****.

Solid point. Didn't think about it like that. Or maybe, just maybe, Hopkins IS serious when he saids that he simply doesn't get up for Dawson mentally. And he needs that challenge. And Haye would be a challenge, that's for sure.

Hopkins has experience, skill, ring gereralship, distancing, intelligence, and timing all in his favour.

    Haye has speed, size, power.

I have no idea how stamina would play out, cause Bhop is getting older and has never fought at that weight before... I would guess the advantage would go to Haye.

Still came to the same conclusion = Haye by brutal KO.
