Will boxing save Calzaghe's life but take his unbeaten record, will he come back now?

What's troubling is not that Calzaghe was doing blow but that he's got the money and free time (no job) to never stop doing the blow.

I support his cocaine use. It gives you speed and stamina.

It would be a massive mistake to make a comeback. He might not be the brightest, but I think he has enough brain power to realise he would utterly destroy everything he worked so hard to build up. Stay away Joe - find something else.

"Hopkins beat him." :rofl:rofl Yeah...I never seen a man fight that hard for the win, but lose! Hopkins held the **** out of Calzaghe, threw 10 punches a round, and that ******* Calzaghe got the win! Must be because he's a "White boy!"
You people seriously got to be kidding. Even *IF* you actually did have hopkins ahead, or a draw, or something (which seems pretty hard for me to believe) I don't think you can say Hopkins BEAT him. He didn't do enough to BEAT anybody. Maybe win a match, but not beat.
I also agree Calzaghe didn't do enough to really BEAT Hopkins. He won the match, but it was hard to look good against Hopkins. Calzaghe won on work rate IMO...Yeah, and in that workrate he did land a lot more punches.

I don't know about his life being in jeopardy, but his bank account might be feeling a little nervous. Trekking around, partying, and ****ing chicks is no joke. It'll suck any pool dry.

Easy way to spot a non-Brit. In the UK a huge number of people take a huge number of different types of drugs every weekend. The majority don't have personal problems.

Joe had his time. He was an all-time great fighter in his prime. Unbelievable reflexes, strong chin, good power before his hand injuries, ridiculous conditioning and a warrior spirit. He would have been competitive with any man in any era in the 168lb. division. But it is over baby. Get off the cocaine, take care of your boys and grow the hell up.

He can do other things to get his life back in order if he wants to. Money? That might be a different story. He looked pretty chubby cheeked in picture I saw of him. I don't know if he can get back to peak form now. Of course depending on who he fights he might not have too. May I suggest some one dimensional slugger I know of that might be a good 'tune up'? :D

I don't think he's willing to take the risk.

It might help him to get back into boxing now. I am not sure though.
