As many have, i have always seen him getting title shots and doing not a lot.

Or being a holding negative non punching bruiser.

I am certainly not a fan or a massive follower, though how he talks, certainly he can only do what he does or has done, you cant fault that.

Yeh this guy has fought allot of good heavyweights.....and talanted guys from the 1980's.

He's had a great career in boxing for himself....

He's a average joe, who has worked hard at the sport...

 

my question is how come hes ranked 27th in the world heavyweight rankings thats like overall acording to spn

can you pick 26 current heavys that bet him ?

 

As we all know, thats just not how rankings work now............especially Ruiz :good

Hairyhighlander, you smack of a guy thats trying to get a forum up for a fight that simply is ungetupforable.

Its an awful fight & a mismatch. Even trying to remind people that Ruiz once held a version of a heavyweight title doesnt cut it this time.

The only respect due here is for brit forum posters like you who try to drum up a bit of excitement for a non-event like this.

I'm a big Haye fan but the way Ruiz conducts himself and see the fighters he fought and where he fought you gotta respect this guy and i hope he puts up good display. He's a true gentleman and is a very decent fighter.

 

He'll earn the Brit forum's respect the hard way when he sparks Haye. :yep

 

It should be an easy nights work. On paper, it is a big fight but in reality it's an overstated contest.

If Haye can't beat Ruiz, he doesn't deserve to be a Champion.

hes not always been the most exciting,but hes about around for a long time and is still classed as a legit contender in most eyes .

 

Agreed, but if Haye is what he says he is, he should be walking through guys like Ruiz.

 

I'm not so sure, IMHO any sort of stoppage will be a decent (granted not amazing) result for Haye. Ruiz has messed the best of his time about and beaten a good percentage of them.

 

Seems like a decent guy. Hope he enjoys his retirement.
