"Retired boxer Oscar de la Hoya, owner of Golden Boy Promotions, and his promotions company's chief executive Richard Schaefer, have filed in court last week a motion to dismiss the defamation lawsuit filed by Manny Pacquiao against them."

    journal in digital form

Will the court drop the case or will it go through?

In the end is it possible that the court could demand that Manny have to take the random olympic-style drug tests?:hey

Manny wants to win a case against DLH and GBP, so he doesn't have to pay them anymore.

Is there anyway that this could backfire on Manny? GBP fiiling some kind of lawsuit?

    No.

It could cost him millions and lose the case. The lawsuit could backfire if the e-mails about hiding a positive test are real.

Well, fill us non-legal eagles in.

If Manny loses, what options are open to GBP?

TBH, i reckon the lawsuit is more to **** GBP/ Mayweather off than anything serious.

if he loses, he will look like a bigger **** than he already does

refusing to fight because of drug testing, and instead filing a lawsuit is an odd course for a "warrior" and if he loses said lawsuit, well, it won't help his image much

Bingo. It will be hard to sell that image of being a warrior when, rather than fight, he is simply filing a lawsuit instead of taking a drug test and knocking out the guy he claims to desperately want to fight.

    Unlikely. :)

Refusing to fight because you're scared of an opponent because your uncle and daddy thinks you might get your ass kicked will always be worse than some fanboy thinking Manny's a *****.
