Hopkins v Jones 2....anyone care

I now know how they are selling tickets to this fight.....just watched a poor mans version of Hopkins/Jones 24/7 sort of preview and they do not mention Jones loss to Danny Green once....

Not going to bother to watch the fight...but if i was gonna put a bet , id be putting it all on Hopkins.

Ive been saying Jones was shot since Calzaghe...and he has no hope

Hopkins not in much better shape either , given he has had 1 fight in 18 months against Ornelas , but he has both beat and hung with some great names before that Calzaghe , Pavlich , etc. His record makes good reading.

Who has Jones faught. Hanshaw , Prince Badi , Trinidad , Lacy. The only one half decent was Calzaghe and Joe beat him convincingly.

I hope Hopkins wins , maybe they can make Green v Hopkins for Cruiserweight gold on Hopkins plans to go through to Heavyweight.

And P.S - if you wanted to have a bet tab sportsbet dont even have a market for the fight ...thats how people are rating it!!!

Yes. I will try to watch. It has no impact on boxing or even on their careers but it should be fun. I think Hopkins will knock jones out by about the 9th round.

 

He was shot well before the Calzaghe fight.

Just looked at boxrec and realised the men are fighting tomorrow.. No media support in Vic.

 

As of yesterday I heard only 2000 tickets had been sold. Their is another card on in Vegas on the same day. It's obviously a smaller show but it will probably outsell it LOL

 

Oh well... Jones will end up suing Green if the rematch doesn't eventuate.. Boxing is a sport???????? lol.

I'm looking forward to it, Hopkins is still a masterful boxer at 45 or whatever he is and Jones while he is nowhere near what he used to be is still the same man who is an all time great. I think Jones can still give him a shake. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Hopkins does not like Jones and I think we'll see him fighting more aggressively than usual.

 

Hopkins will spank him like he stole something...

 

I agree mate....its going to be interesting to see what they both bring to the ring....I would buy it but doing easter family things :nut
