I'm sure theres some who might pick Paul, but I'm going with Nando. I really cant see Tall Paul handling the 99-00 Vargas. Vargas was too strong, and had the skills and accuracy to expose Paul's leaky defense. Plus Vargas was heavy handed enough to wear Williams down. It took a prime Tito, and a close to prime DLH to beat Vargas, and I dont see overrated Paul being on that level. Vargas by either UD, or maybe a late TKO.

The Vargas of the Mayorga fight would give Paul all he could handle.

Yeah right, I wouldnt go that far. Vargas was COMPLETELY shot in the Mayorga fight. Paul gives that Vargas a beating. I'm talking about the Vargas that beat Campas, Marquez,, Wright and Quartey. THAT Vargas beats Williams. And also, that Vargas woulda beaten the **** outta Mayorga.

vargas is pretty overrated...a guy who mustered only 26 wins and lost in the all the biggest fights...he was good yes....did well in his losses, but lost...

Yeah but he only lost to GREAT fighters.... not 2nd raters like Carlos Quintana.

I guarantee you that Vargas wouldnt have needed a 2nd try to destroy a Carlos Quintana.

A prime Tito woulda sent Paul to the ER within 6-7 rounds.

Its unbeliavable how overrated Paul Williams is.

It wasnt a gift but it was very close, i actually scored it a draw. Vargas came on late and Winky didnt do much in the last couple rounds.

Im going with Vargas by razor close decison. Or i can see him stopping Williams late. Actually this is a pretty good matchup im 60/40 on Vargas.
