Yes a very winnable fight for Patrick and a good night in the stadium,How about doubling up and getting Paulie the ebu title fight on the same night.
peters should promote the **** out of these bros... they all have great qualities and are ready for big fights on rte... its about time they got the exposure they deserve:deal
Just finished watching it a great insight into the club its like a big family. There is some extras on it mainly there tribute to Darren Sutherland and it shown him going back into the club and the reception he got was brilliant well worth a look to anyone not alone boxing fans. The makers dedicated the movie to Daz as well.:good

While I don't think Pickering will test Hyland, if it means him picking up the EU belt then he should definitely go for it. I think he'll KO Pickering mid rounds so it would be an eye catching way to beat a recognised, if somewhat faded, fighter and pick up a belt at the same time. Lets hope it gets made
if its going to purse does that not mean its made? Just have to determine who promotes and how much the boys get each????
http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/mccloskey-make-european-title-defence-against-italian? Good to see McCloskey back in the ring, the night before Alio's show too so should make for a great weekend of boxing in Belfast. I know Carl will probably be on the undercard but anyone know who else is going to be on it? McCloskey needs to be beating Lauri impressively if he wants to push for a world title fight.
No there have been loads of fights that were down to go to purse bids with the EBU that never get made. Its a good sign that the fight can get made but its by no means set in stone
McCloskey to make European title defence against Italian Submitted by Ben Carey on 2 April, 2010 - 13:32 Paul McCloskey will make the first defence of his European light-welterweight title against serial Euro challenger Guiseppe Lauri on 7 May in Belfast. The unbeaten Irishman, 20-0 (10), captured the vacant EBU crown with a ninth round stoppage of Spaniard Daniel Rasilla in November. 55-fight veteran Lauri has suffered four of his six defeats in Britain against Ricky Hatton (TKO5), Junior Witter (TKO2) and a brace of points losses against Ted Bami in the Italian's two previous attempts to lift the European title. The 33-year-old Lauri has won his last seven however and currently resides as the EU light-welterweight champion (sister title to the EBU crown).
Must have come as a shock to Lauri since he's been telling people on here he doesn't know who McCloskey is :yep
That would be perfect for Hyland if it gets made, the right opponent imo and he's and also the big bonus of having the EU title with it. I'd love to see Peters take this and preferably do so before it goes to purse bids so the fight can be made as soon as possible. As others have pointed out it's also important for Pajo to stay active at this stage and the less time spent waiting for fights to be made the better. I don't think it'll be possible for Paulie to get an EBU shot on the card, even with Peters influence. Munroe still holds the belt and even if he were to vacate, Booth, Maludrottu, Martinez, Quigg and another I can't remember are all in line ahead of Paulie. A defence of Paulie's EU title on the undercard vs someone like Rocky Dean would be great. If feasible stick Eddie on the undercard in a defence of his IBF International bauble. I'm thinking cheap but decent standard/name South American. While I do think it would be good to get the brothers away from being on the same cards as each other as they all have the potential to headline in their own right, this would be the type of card that putting the 3 together wouldn't be bad. Peters could probably sell out the stadium without two much trouble if he had the 3 brothers and 2/3 other dubs fighting.
