Would Froch give up chance to win the S6 if Calzaghe answered his challenge??

if he wins the S6 he most certainly will. that is a lot of very very tough fights against very solid competition. he'd be ****ing over a lot of people by doing it. i just think he'd go blind if joe finally accepted a fight w/ him.

Iron will, good chin and good power, he definitely has a chance. Unfortunately for him, I am sure he does not have the ring IQ to win it.

so do you think he'll go down swining then in the S6 or does this fact mean he'd jump ship at the chance of a huge payday against Joe?

(i don't see him getting by kess and aa but who knows)

schaefer is making it sound like he's going to put the full court press on him. maybe some kind of quasi relationship like GBP has w/ PBF??? you know GBP would allow joe some promotional credit in any possible comeback fight. hell schaefer is already mentioning names for a possible comeback so you know they've got their mind right about what they want to do :deal

I'm sure the winners of Jones/Hopkins 2 & the winner of the Super 6 ..

I'm not sure if a Froch fight has the same luster if he ends up losing in the Tourney ..Either way i'm sure those are the front runners .Be interesting to see .

I think Froch would jump at the chance, to fight a guy from his division who has owned The Ring, the WBO, WBA, IBF & WBC belts made 21 defences is undefeated and arguably the best 168lb fighter ever. Not to mention Ring LHW champ also.
But I dont want it to happen, Joe is retired and not far off 40, he was past his best around 5 years before he retired in my opinion (not that, that counts for anything), and would probably still ruin & beat Froch, before Froch has a chance to establish any real legacy for himself.
If Froch stays in the super 6, he can be involved in good match ups, with the chance to unify if he keeps winning and make his own name as a top SMW. I think Froch stands a better chance of winning the super 6 than alot of people think.
Just think Froch needs to throw more fast combinations, keep his chin down and learn to cut off a ring better, rather than just follow his opponent around.

joe has a huge ego (as a lot of boxers do...it can be a strength). he is no longer the center of attention. his "0" is being hated on in his eyes. there have been several atg british boxing lists that have come out where he isnt #1. that article about the coke among other things had him slighting other british fighters b/c he has the "0" and they don't. now he's playing footsy w/ GBP :think this is not a coincidence imo.

BUT, you are right to point to his age which is why i think a comeback would happen now as opposed to some other time later on. he can still be a force.

also, froch needs to stop zealously guarding his lower thigh w/ his left hand. that will not serve him well against kess and aa.

I would not be surprised if Calzaghe came back, it is real easy to party away large amounts of money when you are on coke.

For the sake of Calzaghe hopefully the partying isn't doing damage to his body, he is already an older fighter.

from the looks of some of the pics ive seen of him in public....including that vintage pic of him w/ his arms around two girls...he's definetly indulging the ole booger sugar. that face was priceless. he had the manson lamps on and everything.

Oh great. Suppose some unnamed mystery fighter were to take his 'oh', he is just an old washed up drug addict.
