I like how Bert says "He didn't meet one criterion: You must meet and beat other greats" yet always sucks off Jack Dempsey and ranks him in his top 10.

    :deal

Boxing historians are like any other historians, they struggle to give praise to modern art in any form.

Bert Sugars top 100 list is ****ed...

I have also heard him on several occasions saying Jones was a legend. I don't know what to believe from that senile old *******.

Personally, I consider Jones, Hopkins, and Calzaghe to be 3 different suits cut from the same cloth when it comes to their matchmaking. Who knows how much they could've accomplished if they'd pushed 110% in their primes scheduling-wise like some other fighters, such as Jermain Taylor, did?

Bert knows like many others that Jones refused to make the big fights in his 'Prime'. Legit ATG's don't handpick like Roy did. Jones simply does not have the resume to stack up with the other fighters Sugar mentioned. All Roy basically did was win a bunch of vacated belts while cherrypicking his way through weight classes. The guy was a belt collector nothing more. That is the point Sugar was trying to make.

Roy's resume doesn't stack up with Robinson, Ali's and Duran's??

I could have told you that.

Roy's resume is seriously underrated by many, if you really dig into it it is quite impressive. I don't expect you to understand that though.

Hopkins I agree with although it was a very boring fight. Toney winning the IBF belt in 3 divisions does not make him an ATG. He is way overrated on here. Not saying he is not good but a legit ATG? Either way it is a good win on Jones putrid resume.

When somebody hates a fighter like you hate Roy, nothing would have ever been good enough, you would have found a way to discredit everything he has done.

That is why opinions of haters are always dog ****.

Bernard Hopkins has beat more bums than Jones. FACT.

The only reason Jones gets so much **** written about him is because of the highly publicized Richard Frazier fight. Roy Jones destroyed Frazier, but if Frazier put up a decent fight you wouldn't hear all this Jones beat up firefighters, postman etc....

Yes obviously the Frazier fight should have never happened, but it did and it's only ONE fight, look at all the other great wins Jones has over his career.

That's why I said borderline atgs :) In a way RJJ resume it's similar to Mike Tyson's. He had very impressive wins against unimpressive opponents
