I don't know a single boxing fan who takes bert sugar seriously.

Everytime he is on ringside on ESPN classics, I want to mute the tv. He talks over actual real legendary boxers with his complete ****** 1 liners that he never stops using.

Ali beat Foreman, Frazier, Liston. These greats he beat were all in the same weightclass as him.

Jones beat Hopkins, Toney, Griffin, Hill, Ruiz, Tarver, Trinidad, Lacy.

The difference is these people were in different weight classes, and they are all as great or as good as any of the boxers Ali beat in his prime. If these boxers were all heavyweights and Jones beat them all, and if there were only one or two title belts, would that change how you view Jones legacy?

No, Bert Sugar is a self contradicting senile old *****, and probably the only man alive who's dick is more glass than yours.

Name the police officers and bartenders or shut the **** up...

Roy beat ATG's, future hall of famers, world champions and top contenders his whole career...

Who cares what someone does on their off time if they are ranked professional boxer.

    Put up or shut up.:deal

Why did Bert even put Jones on the list if he hates him so much and he didn't meet "one criterion"

Tell me why anyone would have Ali as greater than Holyfield? Holyfield won the title more times, fought a prime Tyson, a prime Bowe, a prime Moorer, Foreman, Douglas, and on top of this he did the same thing as a cruiserweight.

I like Ali but he's way over rated mainly because people feel sorry for the abuse he took in the ring. There is no way he's in the top 10 while Holyfield is way down there? Come on.

Funny thing is that I'm not sure I'm putting Hop in front of Jones. In fact Jones has two very good wins against people his own size in Hop and Toney. Hopkings has very good wins but against smaller men. I mean his biggest win is consider to be Tito. But when you look at the fight Tito was so smaller. Anyway I would say that Holyfiled ,Oscar and the winner of Floyd-Mosley have better resumes.Maybe there are others but I must think more about it.

Anybody that doesn't recognize Richard Hall as an elite fighter needs to be institutionalized.

Okay lets properly compare their resumes. Lets assume Roy Jones and Ali are both heavyweights. Lets compare the win loss records of all the fighters they each beat on boxing rec, or if thats too much work lets see who beat more championship quality fighters, and who beat more all time greats.

Ali beat Foreman, Fraizer, Liston, these were champions and great fighters, he beat Norton and several good fighters.

Roy Jones beat Toney who won the title how many times? He beat Hopkins who won the title how many times? He beat Lacy who might not be great but he won titles, he beat Trinidad who won the title how many times? He beat Ruiz who won the title multiple times and might actually win another.

I'm looking at the amount of champions Roy Jones has beaten compared to Ali. Now if we ignore championships assuming theres too many belts, we can still objectively compare the win loss records of the fighters they beat.

James Toney had a ridiculous amount of wins when Roy Jones beat him. He was pound for pound #1. Hopkins had a loss, but he still was on a win streak.

Or we can compare the amount of undefeated fighters each beat. Anyway lets compare the stats and do it objectively and if I'm wrong then I'm wrong. But I believe I'm right that Roy Jones is on Ali's level of greatness. And I believe Holyfield is, and Hopkins is.

Which means he lost it more. Furthermore, he had more belts to choose from and has less lineal claims to the title than Ali.

No, post-prison Tyson was not prime. A world class fighter who doesn't fight for 4 years, who can't train in boxing gym for three years, is unlikely to ever fully regain the timing and accuracy. Though in fairness Holyfield wasn't prime either, had taken a lot of punishment, and was considered by some to be a shot fighter in 1996.

And lost two out of three times. And the fight he did win, was a razor-thin decision in which Bowe was 10 pounds heavier, and you could see the extra weight in his gut.

How good would Moorer even be considered in the annals of HW history if Holyfield didn't lose to him? He was a contender, and later a beltholder, whose best win outside of Holyfield is Francois Botha.

Ali beat a prime, undefeated Foreman. Holyfield beat a 40+ year old Foreman, who while was still formidable, obviously was better in the 70s.

A talented but underachieving contender who put it all together for one night.

A young division without much history. His work there, especially the Qawi wins, were impressive but not something that suddenly propels him above Ali.

No, he mostly gets rated highly because of the opposition he faced, and most of the time, beat. Opposition level is the main reason why historians who rank him above Joe Louis as the #1 HW ever, do so.

No but I'll compare Hopkins to Foreman and Toney to Fraizer. And Lacy despite what people think, is a champion and had a very high knock out ratio.
