Well then we won't have to worry about contracts. Vitali can just go beat up Haye in a parking lot and be done with it.
I'm no fan of Haye, but people who are picking Ruiz are just playing devil's advocate here. In reality Haye is way too fast, powerful and dynamic for Ruiz. Ruiz's only chance is either a hail mary punch connecting with Haye's weak chin or if Haye comes in trying to fight Ruiz like he did against Valuev....and still Ruiz would need the judges' help. Haye KO by the 5th round.
In all honestly if haye thinks he can challenge the K bros he should be dispatching the likes of Ruiz fairly easily. If he struggles he might as well not bother.
Yes, he put up a stinker in the most important moment of his career. But Im inclined to give him the benefit of doubt and say it was a half-ass executed game plan, to beat a much bigger opponent. I dont expect to see this strategy versus the much smaller Johnny.
haye is a **** talking machine...but at the end of the day...and the day of the fight... he's not all shittalk anymore.. any of the brothers would destroy him. If he can get past Ruiz he has more of a shot...and might even aquire ruiz's style to get in on a klitschko and perfect that ****. Haye will learn to respect Ruiz and his brutal surving tactics.
I don't think its out of line. Ruiz's chin aint that good. When you hit him he goes down.He went down when a shot to pieces Golota punched him while going backwards. For all his flaws, Haye is a hellacious puncher. On the other hand, Ruiz tends to survive like a cockroach, so you might be right.
