Top 5 most talented active fighters?

    These 4 are way above the rest. I'm not going to bother with a 5th. I might put Velaro or JMM there but I'd have to think about it.

    No. The most talented.

    If they were all fighting top level competition I think they could conceivably be the top 5 P4P though. Hopkins ain't fought a meaningful fight for awhile and neither has Donaire.

    Ward is something special.

    Yeah I don't get that either. Plenty of mention for Gamboa, though Rigondeaux is clearly top dog of the recent Cuban defectors.

    Fernando Montiel still deserves mention. A very overlooked elite fighter.

    just to be clear I'm not disagreeing but trying to understand where you're coming from.

    How can you consider A more talented than B, but B a better fighter than A

    Being the best and the most talented are two completely different things. Styles make fights, and some fighters aren't applying their talent to the level of competition some lesser talented fighter is. Froch would be higher P4P than Dirrell...but he's not as talented.
