We expect Silva and BJ to win and Hughes and Renzo is sort of interesting BUT look to UFC 113. It's only 5 weeks away... Lyoto Machida vs Mauricio Rua II Josh Koscheck vs Paul Daley Sam Stout vs Jeremy Stephens Kimbo Slice vs Matt Mitrione Patrick Cote vs Alan Belcher The Shogun-Rua rematch is huge. I can't wait to see Daley in with a wrestler. If he can handle his wrestling and put his lights out then we got a new kid on the block. The other 3 fights are nice event builders.
Can't wait for 113 but 112 intrests me more. I hope Maia chokes out Anderson. Anyway, Kos is going to take Daley down at will imo. And stop him on the ground.
I Agree with you absolutely. I cannot wait for the Machida vs Rua mark2. I think that Machida will be in a much better position mentally. His virtual godlike status that was thrust upon him must have gone to his head a little bit before their previous fight, it's only natural. I thought Rua was very good in their last fight and could have easily taken the decision it was so close. both fighters know what they are up against. I don't think I've ever wanted to see a rematch more than this one.
Daley's hands are amazing. I will pick him because I don't pick against rough house guys but watch his fights. It's not like he has an amazing sprawl that allows him to use his hands like Chuck or Cro Cop, when he comes against someone with a decent takedown it tends not to go well.
I like the matchmaking on this card. more competitive on paper than 112. Could be some very entertaining bouts. Stout/Stephens, Cote/Belcher and Kimbo/Mitrione could all be standup wars. Machida vs. Shogun will be great, and Daley vs. Kos should be interesting as well, though I suspect Daley will have a hard time jeeping the fight on the feet. Pretty solid undercard as well. This will be the first UFC I attend live. really looking forward to it.
From the looks of it. It seems like a very significant card. Machida needs to re-establish the myth. MMA needs him to win to continue its evolution. For Shogun its a must win because with his style, he won't be dominating other LHWs like Machida can. I love it when careers are on the line. You have to love Koscheck, he has taken the road less traveled and 1 defeat vitually ends him.
