Prime vs Prime: Larry Holmes vs Mike Tyson

Tyson had the style to get to Holmes, right hand power...a prime fight would be more competitive but Tyson gets him with the right hand

 

Why do you always do this? What is so hard about doing a poll correctly?

Hard to say who would win. The punch Tyson landed on Holmes might land even on a young Holmes. Right between his gloves.

 

Agreed. I pretty much think its a pick em. The 81 Holmes COULD beat the 88 Tyson, but it'd be far from a given. Tyson aint Gerry Cooney.

 

This is a tough one to call.

I see Tyson scoring a few knockouts in the early rounds, and then Holmes picking up pace in the later rounds. I think it would be pretty even going to points, with Holmes scoring more rounds, but Tyson being even with the knockdowns. I guess it's whoever wins that one essential round.

The reason I don't think Holmes would lose by knockout to Tyson is because of Earnie Shavers.

Is it 'lets go over the same topics over and over again' week on ESB this week. Seriously there is a thing called a 'search function' that has this same match up on it about a hundred times already.

 

The poll is bloody ridiculous, Tyson will definitely get less votes becuase of your "2 rounds" nonsense.

 

It's not about us "being ok" or reading that post, the fact is many people won't spot that post before voting and thus will be far more likely to vote for Holmes, so basically the results will be distorted by your "accident."
