Brutal for sure. I think it's going to be fought at a lower technical level then their past fights though... they really took something out of each other.
Israel has suffered some serious damage from the fights his speech is not slurred but you can see it in his eyes that he is almost spent. It should be his last fight.. I just pray that he does not get seriously hurt.
This fight is not necessary at all, I wish they would fight other opponents besides fighting for an unnecessary fourth time.
I think this fight could be seen as a bit of an anti-climax to be honest. Marquez is very old for a fighter at his weight and Vasquez ain't no spring chicken either. I don't expect it to be as brutal as previous fights. Somebody will fold and I think that person will be Marquez.
I agree. It shouldn't have went beyond a trilogy. There are some great fighters at SMW and FW that would make for a great fight. Marquez v Poonsawat would have been an awesome battle.
I hope not, because it wouldn't be good for either man's health. Hopefully, this isn't a precursor of an attempt to top SRR/LaMotta for number of fights in a series.
Me, I was going to come in and make that same outstanding point! Learn your Roman Numerals, everyone boxing fan should know at least 1-5....Rocky made this very easy to achieve yet you still got it wrong....for shame :-( So, I feel Vazquez-Marquez IV will be a good fight, but nothing on the previous 3....I see two guys well past it beating the **** out of eachother and I fear one of their careers is ending when they me....but I can't wait for it....It
one of them will get knocked or stopped early....i like marquez cuz i wouldn't mind a 5 if this one plays out good
This is a bit of a bittersweet fight, because those 3 fights were brutal and really a 4th (IV) fight isn't really necessary, but I really am looking forward to it.
