    I'm guessing you just started watching the sport last week, and have never heard of Ike Quartey.

    And getting a gift decision over a prime Wright is more honorable then getting a gift over Sergio Martinez.

    Before you talk **** about a "prime" Wright, Paul would have whippppppppped Winly's ass at any stage of his career. He night claim he was "rusty" when he lost all 12 rounds to Petey, but even a prime version, because of his style, would have looked like **** against eh motha****in Punisher...


    Vargas would have gotten his ass beat down.

    You Williams groupies are truly delusional. Wright claimed he was rusty vs Williams cause hadnt fought in ****in 2 years prior to that! Hmmm... just maybe Winky's claim is valid.

    A prime Wright schools Williams no ifs, ands, or butts. He woulda done to Paul what Quintana did in the first fight, only much worse.

    I swear you fools would probably pick Williams over Hagler.

    Winky was a beast back in the day. But his style was one that was predicated on looking for openings. And that style is onyl good when the opposing fighter lets off the gas for a minute. Pual never lets off the gas.



    By the way, Williams doesn't have a whole herd of fans that try to elevate him. Instead, he has a lot of hater who try to put down every thing he does. Maybe if your current favorite fighter wasn't so much of a ***** he would fight Petey and we could all find out...:good

    I agree that Williams would bother any Wright... but Winky isnt Clottey, he would have been in Williams face and vice versa, and no, he doesnt just sit and wait for his opponents to step off the gas, he often initiates contact, and also he often counters nicely while they are punching, and will walk his opponents back if given the chance (if they dont have good footwork and ring generalship, he will be backing them up, luckily paul has both to a degree) and also throws fairly nice to the body as well when he wants to which i think he would be doing against Williams, and his jab is pretty much a power jab which i can see getting to Williams as well.

    Williams would get tagged PLENTY against a prime Wright, and he
    sure as hell isnt 'whippppppppping' Winkys ass... though i would favor him to win.

    I like Williams, i really do. And i also feel he is a nightmare for many H2H, and possibly a future great if he can improve on his weaknesses a bit. But wow, the way his die hard fans talk him up.... hes just going to go out there and beat the **** out of guys like Fernando Vargas and Winky Wright, i expect him to WALK OVER Cintron then. I dont want to hear this or that about Cintron, if Williams is as good as his fans (which, to be honest, i am to a degree) say he is, then he should dominate and dispatch cintron if you guys want to continue to be taken seriously on how he would put whoopings on some of the fighters he gets matched with.

    He WILL put an ass whuppin on Cintron, but that still will have no bearing on how he'd fare with El Feroz.

    Vargas woulda had Cintron on the canvas crying within 4.

    I know Vargas is in my name but I am not bias here. I think prime Vargas is to tough for PW. It would be a damn exciting fight though.

    I think you're overrating Vargas here just slightly. But if he was around these days, you would be making an excuse as to why Paul doesn't deserve a chance to fight him because he doesn't bring enough PPV numbers to the table.


    Vargas was tough, but he had his limitations.
