it doesnt matter floyd would have beat all four on mosleys list more decisively....

the fact of the matter is floyd is undefeated in his last four fights and shane is 3 and 1....

and hell hatton beat collazo by ud just like shane

One can only speculate on that because Floyd never fought up to the level of opposition that Mosley did. And that's my point, thank you for simply pointing it out yourself, in clear text.

Mosley steamrolls through all of Floyds 147lbs opponents, stops them all with the sole exception of perhaps Baldomir.
Comparatively, the level of their opponents at that specific weight does not even stack up, Mosleys bracket KO1 Floyds bracket.

Yeah, "just like", a good number of ringside observers had Collazo winning, and the judges did in fact have it close, but beating a man by UD with a point or two on the scorecards is "just like" beating a man 12-0 on all the scorecards.

    Yeeah right.

technically speaking its all speculation on both sides...but to assume that mosley steamrolls through anyone at this point in his career is illogical.....especially judging that he only had one dominating performance against a walking punching bag in his last four fights....vs. floyd who ruined a 40-0 champion, a LINEAR champion, one of the smartest and skilled fighters today, and a fast southpaw that is as fast and as skilled as floyd...

people forget all of that when they just see their names

    1. What? Losing to Cotto doesn't count as a win just because he fought him. It just doesn't.

    2. I never said you would favour Margarito, but the odds shouldn't be close either.

    3. Mosley LOST to Cotto.

    1. Losing a closely competetive bout against Cotto was nothing to be ashamed of, in fact, it was a bloody good fight between two of the top 147lbs'ers.

    2. Margarito never would of been favoured over Floyd, but the public and the media called for it and thus, viewed Margarito as more of a challenge than any of Floyds wins at 147lbs. And rightfully so, the odds should be close than the fights he had against Hatton and JMM.

    3. Yes, and? this is about brackets stacking up against eachother, and Mosleys bracket blows Floyds bracket out the water.

Sugar Shane has fought better oppositon than Floyd. If Money May hadn't been such a cherry picker there would be no need to make this thread. He simply refused to fight anyone who would be competitive with him above 147.

    1. I never said Mosley should be ashamed. He fought a close fight with Cotto. That said, he LOST, and it does not count as a win. That's a fact.

    2. Margarito would not have been a harder fight for Floyd than Judah would. Judah held far more tools to trouble Floyd than Margarito, who would be shut out. How does Margarito manage to win more than two rounds, even on the most generous judge's scorecard? He has nothing that would trouble Floyd. He plods in and gets tagged, and can win when his opponent tires late. Against Floyd he'd plod and plod, and Floyd would never tire. Such is the match-up.

    3. I'm not sure what you're getting at, really. Mosley went 3-1 in his bracket and Floyd went 4-0 in his own. Mosley doesn't necessarily get the win over De La Hoya at 154lbs when De La Hoya gets all the advantages. Very real possibility for Mosley to lose that one.

Actually, "above 147" he fought De La Hoya, who was a serious threat at that weight, giving up all advantages. Hardly cherrypicked. That's an excellent win, like it or not.

The fact is, if Floyd wasn't already fighting guys that people want to see him with, he wouldn't have the incredible numbers that he does. It's only after the fact that people put down his opposition.
