I don't see how anyone (Floyd fan or not), fails to treat that fight with Marquez as a farce.

A 36 year old that's barely even a lightweight, is asked jump almost a further 2 weight classes (144 catch weight), only for him to be told "Oh that 144 weight we ageed on? Yeah that's not happening. I'm gonna stick with my regular weight of 147. See ya tomorrow"

How the f**ck can you pride yourself on bullying an old, slower man that's 2/3 weight divisions smaller than you, (still fail to stop him), and then go on to call yourself the greatest fighter to have ever lived?

Cotto pre Margarito > than any 147 pounder floyd has faced up to date including Sugar imo. Do all of you actually believe Floyd would have done what Margo did to Cotto? LOL...Blown up Jmm was a good win for a retiree but nothing of notice.
You can discredit Pac and say hes been fighting weakened fighters @ 147 or not in their prime but you can do the same to Floyd.
    JMM/Hatton Blown up/shot
Judah/ODLH Beaten by everyone and his moma/Old dehydrated
    Baldomir/Judah should I even bother?

If the fight was at 140 I could see Marquez giving Cotto hell.

Cotto got rocked by Corley and Torres, 2 inferior boxers to Marquez. He even got gaffawed by feather fisted Paulie Malignaggi. One judge had it 112-115. With Paule down in round 2. Shows you that even breaking his jaw, Cotto could not totally shore up is massive defensive liabilities.

Cotto's always been massively overrated. Great offensive skills hit, offset by a poor defensive one which has him always taking massive bombs at the wrong time.

Marquez vs Cotto at 140 would have been a close fight. Marquez vs Cotto at 147, wouldnt have been but Marquez would have been more competitive then he was against Mayweather.

I agree completely with the beginning

And the end as well cuz people do tend to forget floyd was out of the ring for two years and was fighting a man coming off of a tko win at 135

hold on how was hatton shot when he fought floyd the man was undefeated

Boxsensei...a smart bro like you understands very well the concept of "fight weights" and "walking weights" and why there's a disparity between the 2. You know ohh so well that JMM was bloated at 147 lbs on that night in regards to boxing, and that he didn't belong there one bit...

He only had 1 fight at 135lbs and it certainly wasn't a walk in the park. Then he jumps up 2 weight classes at 36, it was quite evident that he would lose speed, power, and overall agility with his usual effective style.

Sorry that was meant towards Pac, I feel like the weight gain and lifestyle finally got to Hatton. I just tried to compare resumes at 147 between them two.

Heres you putting words in peoples mouths again.

He never to my knowledge posted that, he said Hatton was blown up. The proof is in the pudding, go watch the Collazo fight.

How the **** is JMM who went life and death with Juan Diaz suppose to deal with Cotto? Cotto stops him inside 3 rounds. If PBF can hurt him, Cotto who Shane & Clottey have both said hits harder than Margo would destroy him.

JMM has absolutely no business fighting above 135...they wouldnt even take the Khan fight because Berestein thinks he's being used as a stepping stone for Khan.

Now if his own trainer thinks he is a stepping stone for Khan at 140, what makes you think he is suppose to be competetive with elites at 147?
