    I'd try explaining this to you in detail but it isn't worth it. Israel lost around 120 soldiers while Hezbollah and its allies lost around 900-1000, virtually everyone agrees that, while from a PR standpoint, Israel didn't look great, they clearly scored a major tactical success as Hezbollah hasn't been nearly as active as they used to be.
