Picking closed for tonights fights ------------------------------------ Hope everyone enjoys the fights!
It is, it is.... ive just been letting people slide on it this year cuz we had so many new people this year that didnt know. I think im going to be enforcing it starting next week, it just sucks cuz you got people who put in their picks when you know the fights havnt happened yet and it kills me not to count their picks for them so i wind up letting them slide, but i gotta have some sort of deadline, and the time being 'yesterday' for me as the latest on their time of post is the easiest and best way. So it sucks but people are warned lol, next week if you put in your picks the day of the fight, im not counting them.
is it too late to pick kirk? if its okay i'd like to pick haye by KO hopkins by UD juarez by KO Daniel Judah to lose by KO nevermind, just read the post, damn... oh well, ill pick next week
Haye won, Ruiz's corner threw in the towel. I like Haye, and i look forward to future matchups with him.... but i wasnt as impressed as others seem to be about his performence, he looked very vulnerable at times and was walked down and hit too much IMO against a 38 year old ruiz, full credit to Haye for knocking Ruiz down, and forcing a stoppage, but its what went on between those that im a little underwelmed with. I now actually think quite a few fighters would give him trouble that i didnt see doing so before (Adamek for one) And he thinks if he connects on Vitali like he did on Ruiz Vitali is going down? Highly unlikely, no matter how far Vitali is slipping. Anyways.... Decent fight, good good effort from Ruiz, Ruiz fought so much better then i thought he would, and not one major clinch from him of note. Well done to both fighters, i thought Ruiz could make it the distance with a lot of hugging but fair play to him he didnt even resort to hugging when he was hurt much. Not to say Haye didnt do what he was supposed to, plenty of fighters get upset and he performed like he should, just seemed to get hit a bit too much by a guy who shouldnt have been laying as much leather on him as that. I dont know, maybe im being too hard on Haye, he put in a good performence and at the end of the day stopped Ruiz and dropped him multiple times. Also i heard he wasnt sparring due to a cut? if thats the case that would explain a lot on his timing a bit (defensive timing more then his offensive timing, imo) Anyways, decent lil scrap as always from Haye and now hopefully David can move on to bigger and better things.
Also, props to Ruiz for not just laying down in there, or making it an ugly hug fest... old dude came to fight and he earned respect tonight IMO.
So... Haye TKO 9 Jason TD 7 Hopkins UD Final Results i believe.... Ill have updates later tonight or tomorrow.... Hope people enjoyed their weekends :good
