He fought on the same card as Frampton in Huddersfield the other week and I spoke to the Sheffield Star reporter about Kelly fighting for an Irish title so he sent an article over to the Democrat! Chalk him up!

I remember him boxing in Huddersfield against Tyrone Nurse. He had nurse on his arse once but was well outpointed...but his shorts are the worst pair I've ever seen. Do you remember the drunk chap singing "you've got a girls name on your shorts" leonardo? I thought it was quite funny in fairness

Andy Murray's already given this lad a hiding although the Irish title wasn't on the line. He still needs to get himself an 8 round fight too to qualify. Maybe he could taken on Michael Kelly for the "King of the Kelly's in Louth" title!

Moore's career in tatters following shock defeat

Submitted by BoxRec News on 3 April, 2010 - 19:20 Jamie Moore's career took a major setback after he was stopped by Belarusian Sergey Khomitski at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester tonight on the undercard of David Haye vs John Ruiz. Moore, competing up at middleweight after losing his European light-middleweight title to Ryan Rhodes last time out, was pulled out by his corner at the end of round six. More to follow.

Ouch. Shame for Moore. It seems his career peaked and declined without him ever landing "the big one".

I have the 'Team Frampton' t-shirts priced and all :good
Anyone on here want to hit the Frampton express with me on a t-shirt level?

Martin Rogan’s Prediction for Haye-Ruiz fight

by Brendan Galbraith - Martin ‘the Entertainer’ Rogan flew into Manchester earlier this morning to attend tonight’s World Title clash between David Haye

and John Ruiz. Rogan, who is close to coming back to full training after a successful bone transmission operation, has world title ambitions himself (more on that to follow), shares his thoughts on the Haye-Ruiz fight.

Haye, who has looked bulkier in the run up to this evening’s fight, came in 4Ilbs higher on the scales in comparison to this last fight. Rogan observed:

“David looked to have bulked up in weight. I think what he has to understand himself, no matter what, he is in a different division now. Going in against Valuev, he was light, he was well cut and he could move – because he was pretty light. He has moved up in weight and I think he will see the difference when he tries to cart that weight about, because I am a natural heavyweight, but when I go over a couple of pounds of my natural weight, I actually find the sluggishness in me automatically”.

“It is a strange thing. It only takes an extra two or three pounds to your body to start slowing itself up. And I think David will find that himself. David is pretty fit and he can bang.”

    On John Ruiz, Rogan cautioned:

“John Ruiz is a grinder – he will grind you down and he can take it. The one thing I would say about John Ruiz is from his last couple of fights when I have seen him, he was pretty bulky and very sluggish, he didn’t want to do too much. This time around I have seen him on the news, he looks to have trimmed up a lot, he looks a sharp, he is moving, he looks younger. I think he is up for it. I think John Ruiz is up for it”.

    Rogie’s prediction:

“Obviously, David Haye with Adam Booth they are going to do their homework. For me, I would be saying, go out there, jab – move, jab – move. I would say if David Haye jabs one-two and walks away and frustrates him a wee bit. I would say David Haye would knock John Ruiz out between 5 and 7 rounds”.

“If he doesn’t then John Ruiz will bring it the whole way to points and he will grind him down. As he covers up well and takes his shots”.

Regardless of how the Haye-Ruiz fight transpires, Rogan is firmly fixed on getting right back in the mix again with the intention of securing his own title shot. An in depth interview on this and more will follow shortly.

Is it just me? Or did Haye (who is clearly way above Ruiz level) actually hit Ruiz behind the head a load of times.

I mean I think he actually stunned Ruiz plenty of times but Haye smacked Ruiz round the back of the head a lot

    Howya BamBam,

I think Ruiz took a leaf or two out of the Sam Sexton rulebook a couple of times. Granted my stream was choppy at times, but he seemed to turn his back when getting hit flush. Fair play though, he took some whoppers. I think Haye could beat Wlad, not too sure about Vitali.

On another note, I was devastated at Jamie Moore's loss. A fella he would have beaten easily even a year ago.
