    Who takes it and why?
For the hell of it... I'm gonna go with Willard...One tough son of a ***** to come up from those punches that Dempsey threw at him.

Valuev=The man shaves with a damn axe! Did Ali shave with an axe? No! Why? Because he wasn't tough enough. The only man to even slightly hurt Valuev is the greatest p4p puncher and heavyweight version of Julian Jackson, Mr. David P. Haye himself! And even then, he was mostly off balance from his body hair (which acts as armor, fair edge or not). Two men have gone the distance with Nikolay Valuev and won. Both of those men were ATG heavyweights and they ran most of the time and still got gift decisions.

Friends, Nikolay Valuev is eight inches taller and eighty pounds heavier than Jess Willard. His skull is 5 inches thicker. He'd consume Willard with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse. He wouldn't waste as much time about doing it as little tiny Jack Dempsey unless he just wants to toy with the fool like he did against Lyakhovich. Willard got knocked out by Firpo. Firpo would make Butterbean look like a prime Ali! Valuev would break Willard's head open like an overripe watermelon. End thread.

Jess by dec,as Valuev goes into a defensive shell to protect his looks from Jess's probing jab.

I agree. Valuev's work rate is astonishing for such a large man: He throws less then 3 punches a round! WOW!
willard would knock this dumbass out.

Jess was much faster and better coordinated than Valuev. He showed against Moran that he could slip, duck, block and counter well. Valuev would be a rather dull decision win, and a picnic for Willard. Jess could certainly knock him out if he chose to really unload his right, but it wasn't usually his temperament to do more than necessary to win.
