:yep Sad, but true. I´d like to see somebody giving the Klitschkos a good challenge and beat them, but Haye is such a coward.

He´ll get the chance to fight a Klitschko now, but I´m sure he´ll run away from them again. I really hope a fight between Haye and either Klitschko happens soon, but Haye seems to fight Valuev or even Hopkins, before facing a serious HW.

I am more confident then i was about a Wlad vs Haye fight, I really saw David Haye as a big threat to Wlad, and although its the fight i want most at heavyweight (besides maybe Haye vs Adamek and Wlad/Vitali vs Valuev) i was super nervous as well for Wlad.

After seeing Ruiz land plenty of leather on Haye, back Haye up and walk him down even in spots, and seeing Hayes stamina look a bit questionable, i am pretty confident that Wlad jabs Hayes head off with Haye trying to make a fight of it for the first 6 rounds, then opens up from 7-9 and knocks haye out....

Haye actually has a realistic shot at Wlad. He's fast enough, powerful enough, and long enough where Wlad may not be able to simply jab him to death all night. I'd still pick Wlad in that fight, but Haye at least has the tools to make it interesting.

I agree with you there. I was actually surprised by how many double jabs Ruiz was able to land. Now, Ruiz didn't have much behind them, but Wlad will.

I think it's true that Haye was a little rusty, but Wlad isn't quite as mobile as Ruiz due to his height. He's a good mover, but without his jab he would look very ordinary.

Wlad's still got to be the favourite, but Haye showed a maturity tonight and didn't once get wobbled.

I dont expect a 38 year old Ruiz to land many clean punches on a prime, fit and fast David Haye, but he def landed shots and tagged Haye up a bit and gave Haye a rough go in a few spurts....

This is boxing and thats going to happen, but i expected Haye to have less trouble then he did against the always tough Ruiz. I admit, part of that is Ruiz fighting harder and better then i thought he would (which actually led to him eating a lot of punches he might not have if he had been the huggy bear im used to seeing)

I def saw vulnerabilities i didnt expect to see come out this fight...

But whatever, thats not that important given that Haye still put on a good show, didnt get clocked right on the button much at all, and dropped ruiz multiple times in making his corner throw in the towel. Plenty of good to talk about without me focusing on that bad, its only that Haye was SUPPOSED to win this fight that makes it a bit easier to talk about the negative.

Decent performence from Haye... hope we see a meaningful matchup up next.

What? Ruiz looked like an old man coming forward all night. Wlad is way ahead of Ruiz in the mobility dept.

If you guys are actually suprised that Haye took so many punches you need to watch the Fragomeni fight. Cause Haye got caught plenty in that fight. I think the main point in though that he's learned how to ride punches and also leanred that sometimes its better to ride a punch then waste a ton of energery sprinting to get out of the way. Eitherway the idea that he only wins when he doesn't get hit is rediculous....of course riding a punch from Klitchko is a different proposition.

I think this is a good assessment of how the fight will go. I'm a fan of Haye, but he doesn't have the head movement to get out of the way of Wlad's jab. Haye will no doubt look to counter over the jab with his right hand. However, I think he's going to be hitting thin air. Wlad's foot movement is fantastic, coupled with his height and reach advantage I don't see Haye having much success at all.

Yes it is. Another poster said Ruiz was more mobile than Wlad...I don't understand that at all.
