You should come up for the Alio show - Ardy was saying you are a gasman, great craic, - we went to the Lindsay fight and also the last Prizefighter together. Alio runs good shows - well worth coming up for it.:good

Oh yes, they sparred and then some!!! No nice things to say about each other after it!!! I did a brief interview with Rogie at last year's Irish Boxing Awards (2009) and I had to discard most of it out - there was effing and blinding and much ill-feeling.

Perez says he took Rogie apart, Rogie says he was a chicken **** who took liberties - let's git it on in the near future!!!

 

I think that's sealed it, Brendan. I'll find a way to tell my bird I'm off out for a bottle of milk and come back the next day - you lads will have to help me think of a good excuse while I'm up there. It'll be good to see Steve Wellings too, another fella who is superb company. Christ, it's turning into a circle-jerk in here tonight, and I'm the instigator!

 

Steve will be there too I am sure - you might as well make it a two night stayover as McCloskey is fighting the night before (both cards are on boxrec) - haha!

 

I'm even more pleased to hear the lads have stayed on in Cork.:good

D'oh! Didn't realise for a sec - it's sealed now. I might try and rope in Ninebar and Mush to come along for the car ride for the weekend. Get into loads of "hilarious" mix-ups and "zany" adventures along the way, a la Hollywood buddy movies. And then realise in the third act that my bird was actually the one for me all along. I might PM you in the next few days for B&B recommendations, etc. Cheers, pal.

Ninebar, you boys should head up to Belfast for the weekend - see McCloskey on the Friday night and then go to the Alio show and see Perez, Wilton et al on the Saturday night...
