That's how Nard always fights, nothing new. He's not shot, and he'd probably still beat up Pavlik in re-match. He's a crafty veteran... and I'm surprised that you guys are surprised by his acting.. it's ****ing Bernard Hopkins.. what the hell did you expect?
He won't fight him. Haye would only be vilified for putting a legend in a wheelchair. BHop is delusional if he thinks that he should carry on. RJJ is totally shot. After the awful performances from both of them, the whole of boxing is a little bit worse off and sullied tonight. That was simply sad to see. "Years of ringcraft" was forwarded as a legitimate excuse to justify outright, wilful cheating. And to think that Haye got abused tonight for actually fighting...
I know Hops is crafty and ring vet, but why cry like a ***** and do the drama thing when you're handily winning the fight? He looked like he wanted out and wanted to get Jones DQ'd. I've never seen such a performance and such bad acting in boxing. I have completely different feelins for him now and no respect. roy is just sad all the way around. The worst thing is, he'll probably still fight and being able to hang with hopkins was probably a win for him in his fuked up mind.
^^^^Exactly. I like Hopkins and expected him to maul and said that in a few posts. The guy IS an opportunist and will do whatever he needs to in order to win I respect that but it's a shame great fighters like him have to stoop so low. At the end of the day I'm still a RJJ & Hopkins fan and STILL like Hopkins more even after all this **** I read about. Im a fan baby.
Honestly Jones could have won, when it was in the center of the ring he was winning, but I do think Hopkins out pointed him whether he stole the win or not. Jones just doesn't have it anymore, Hopkins doesn't either but Hopkins is the dirtiest fighter in the game. Even if he physically has nothing he can still win, and he might beat Haye by low blow DQ.
