"Bernard Hopkins won a brutal unanimous decision over Roy Jones Jr.". Someone who hasn't watched the fight will read this and think it was some kind of a massacre. :rofl
What? You think those taps did any damage? Wake the **** up. "He caught me with the rabbit punch and from then on I was light headed and couldn't focus right" blah blah blah, I can already see it coming. He's not stupid, he's a business man, he heard those boos and knew (or was told) something had to be done to protect his integrity..... Taaaa Daaaaa!!!!
Sounds more like BHop's arthritis is acting up again. We should all chip in and get him a walking stick. And some Werther's originals.
And I thought you were dying to see this rematch? In my opinion if Hopkins had taken the fight with Green he'd have been hospitalized alot earlier.
Popkins said he saw spots from the 6th round on.........those were probably the zero's disappearing from his cheque in the next planned HW fight. The booing just made him realize that it was no dream. GBP prob convinced him to "collapse" and take a trip to the hospital to save face and come up with an excuse that he still has enough to face Haye or the like.
sorry I dont buy it. That punch was a soft punch. No way it could do that amount of damage. And hopkins is a long time veteran. Your telling me he's never been hit in the back of the head before? The second shot to the back of the head BARELY touched him,. He's pulling an acting job.
Jones didn't even hit Hopkins as hard as Judah did Mayweather, yet there was Hopkins, acting like he'd been hit with a sledge hammer. I think it was a matter of Hopkins knowing he was in a tougher fight than he expected, and using the fouls to...well, I don't know why he did it, but anyone who thought he was really hurt that bad must be out of there minds... ...and then Hopkins had the nerve to call out David Haye!
