After watching that fight, its very clear Jones has nothing left, yet he still made Hopkins his *****. Hopkins was acting horribly and looking to end the fight early on fouls that he initiated. After all that talk he should be completely embarrassed for acting like he did, and at the end of the day I think Jones fought more like a sportsman even though he was just trying to survive. Jones needs to hang them up and call it a day. Its painful to watch a guy who was once so good, be a sitting duck like that, and I think once Hopkins reviews this fight, its going to haunt him worse than their first fight as he conducted himself like a total punk and made it more clear to me, he would have never had a chance against a prime Jones regardless of how much he thinks he improved. Jones will forever have his number. Hopkins won the fight, Jones won the event by exposing Hopkins true colors. Hes not hard, hes not some street guy that he portrays himself to be, hes a spoiled little ***** that fought like a total ***** against a guy that had nothing left to offer.
In a way it is true. Jones in losing to Hopkins made Bernard look like a crybaby. Bernard hits behind the head and throws low blows, and he went down with two punches behind the head and a Jones low blow. Jones did his tactics on him and he couldn't take it. That was interesting.
hopkins unleashing those flurry after resting so long was just fckin cheap! cause without those rest he's actually having a posing contest with jones most of the time.
I couldn't agree more with this. I was at a club last night that had the fight on and most people said the same thing. They were disgusted by what Hopkins pulled and gave him no credit for the win. Jones did more in losing that fight last night than Hopkins did in winning it. Jones will forever own Hopkins.
Plus he comes in with his head for every exchange. He should have got warned for that - both of Jones cuts were because Hopkins rushed in with his head.
Hell yes! BHop didn't even talk his usual **** at weigh in and he was going into the fight with a loss vs Jones I thought he was going to go in there to prove something but I was wrong. I still like them both but unless Hops upsets Haye or Dawson he needs to get the hell out of pros. Jones was shot as **** and still gave him problems what should that tell Hopkins? Hopefully to retire!!! Happy Easter people!!!!

Lets just say I lost a lot of respect for Hopkins after the stunts he pulled in that fight. He embarrassed himself last night.
You didn't miss much - they both looked old and bad. I didn't seen the heart you're talking about for Jones. He looked like he just wanted to get to the end and get paid. He threw one punch here and there and never really unloaded and went for the KO (although he thinks he did). They should both retire. No wait, Hopkins should get KTFO by Haye first.
Very good thread/post. Hopkins should truly be ashamed of the way he conducted himself last night, some pathetic **** there. Roy is completely done but at least he fought like a man, didn't moan like a ***** about the fouls and took the loss with dignity. I thought this would be a meaningless fight but it turned out it was worth watching precisely because Bernard showed his true self.
