Does Dirrell have the reach and speed to out point Calzaghe?

Or is Calzaghe's slaps and workrate too much for Dirrell?

    Prime Calzaghe BTW, not Cokezaghe

Probably Dirrell in the first few rounds

Hopkins & Jones both put Calzaghe down in the 1st...

Neither Hopkins or Jones could put each other down...

Jones was destroyed in the 1st by Green...

Dirrell put the previously unputdownable Abraham down...

    Easy.

Calzaghe would dance all over Dirrell, end of story.

Joe, he negates Dirrells speed and works him over for the last 7 rounds of the fight

This is hard to deduce. Calzaghe made a career of fighting coal miners, so its hard to imagine him fighting someone with actual talent. A young fighter with speed and agility, combined with power. When the 2 best victories of your career are an SD over an old Bhop and Mikkel "what the hell is a" Kessler you cant deduct well he'd perform against a talented fighter in his prime.

I'd give Joey Slaps the benefit of the doubt here and say Calzaghe UD. Although Dirrell would be the biggest, fastest fighter he'd have fought in his career, which is saying something about his career.

Froch smashed Dirrel, and an AA clip to the side left Dirrel in convulsions, moments before that a jab sent Dirrels legs into spaghetti.

Calzaghe was ducked by the best boxers around, he smashed Eubank, ruined Lacy, ruined Kessler, smashed prime Hopkins, slaughtered a near prime RJJ, and all in all beat up on 11 world champions until he retired undefeated.

Calzaghe would come out of retirement now and put the hurt on anyone in the super 6, he is just a supreme fighter.

Dirrell looked like a boxing god against Abraham, but AA is a flat footed slugger with zero footwork, and all the speed of a racing turtle.

Dirrell would find staying out of Joe's wheel house MUCH more difficult. Joe had quick enough hands and feet to keep Dirrell right in front of him, and slap him silly.

Of Course, if you give Dirrell a couple more years to mature, we'd probably be looking at a very different fight.

Prior to Joe busting his hands, he was Ko'ing everyone, he planted one of the greatest chins in boxing, Chris Euabnk on the canvas, Dirrell has a very shakey jaw, that was proven when Abrahams jab popped him down, and the follow up clip to the top of the noggin left him in dream land for 5mins.

    So prime Joe Ko's Dirrell.

Froch got a gift in a fight where he was clearly outclassed. The vast majority would probably pick Dirrell by KO if they fought again. There was only one fighter hurt in that fight.

    Like who?
Shot Eubank, who didnt even have time to train properly.
Lacy was never good. His best victory over Robin Reid who gave Joey slaps all he could handle. Dont some feel Joey lost that fight??
Kessler was never that good to begin with. His best wins were against Mundine and Andrade. Spare me.
He grinded out a win against an old Hopkins. Not really landing any punches and the only one who had a mark on his face was Slaps after the fight. Hopkins looked like he woke up from a relaxing nap.
Roy Jones Jr was shot to pieces. He couldnt even KO a shot Trinidad moving up 2 weight classes.
He retired undefeated because he never fought the best. Why did he duck Bad Chad Dawson?
Calzaghe is a cokehead now and was never a supreme fighter. Only a very good one in a weak division.

Joe doesnt have a wheelhouse. Non- punchers like Joe cannot stop young men from abusing them in the ring.
